CHITARRA ARRIVATA CON FRETS DIFETTATI
francesco bruno 11.04.2019
LA CHITARRA E' ARRIVATA CON UN DIFETTO, A MIO AVVISO MOLTO GRAVE, SPECIE CON UNA CHITARRA DI COSì ALTO COSTO.
I FRETS (BARRETTE) SONO STATE MONTATE MALE E NON LIMATI NEI BORDI, QUINDI APPUNTITI. RENDENDO IMPOSSIBILE SUONARE, PERCHE' LE DITA SI GRAFFIANO.
LA THOMAN E' STATA DISPONIBILE A CAMBIARE O AGGIUSTARE IL DIFETTO, MA TROVO POCO PROFESSIONALE DA PARTE DELLA CORDOBA, CONSEGNARE UNA CHITARRA DI TALE PRESTIGIO E ALTO COSTO, SENZA AVERE EFFETTUATO IL BENCHE' MINIMO CONTROLLO DI QUALITA'.

A beautiful alternative to steel
Useless Humans 01.12.2017
I'm a long time steel string player but have always preferred the tone of a classical guitar. This hybrid is beautifully made with a stunning tone.

I did take a risk in buying without playing (after much research) and went for this option over a Martin or Taylor acoustic. I'm delighted with my decision - the feel of the guitar is stunning and in no way inferior to a steel Martin or Taylor within this range.

The guitar is versatile enough for Jazz (my usual style), classical, and general rock styles - I especially like the slim neck.

My research did warn that the fret edges were a touch sharp and this has proven to be the case (thought nothing major at all - wear and tear will of course remove this); the finish on this guitar is otherwise spectacular. Beautifully made and detailed.

I can't recommend this guitar enough; it's time to start taking real notice of Cordoba guitars.

Not for me
AGuitarPlayer 04.08.2022
I am a classically trained guitarist who plays all sorts of stuff and I've been in search for a cutway guitar with a slimmer neck and possibly a truss rod which could serve me equally well both in studio as on a stage. Given that I've already had Cordoba Fusion 12 Maple, which was not a bad guitar, but which I've ultimately returned (I've made an extensive review of it so I won't go into details here; I encourage everyone interested to check it out), I will make a comparison between the two models, it will maybe be useful for those who are in a dilemma about which model of these two to choose.

Both guitars were of a comparable build quality, with two differences; the frets on the Fusion Maple seemed to be a bit less polished than on this one. It wasn't a great deal of a difference and it definitely wouldn't be a dealbreaker, because it's one of the issues that's quite easy to remedy (the frets on both guitars were nicely rounded and smooth at the edges of the neck, they weren't sharp, so that suggests some consistency in that detail at least). Another difference was more serious; with Fusion Orchestra Cedar there was a strange rattling/buzzing sound when playing the empty 6th string, and this sound seemed to be emanating from the body of the guitar (it didn't seem to be coming from the bridge, because strings were tied pretty snugly, so maybe a cable or some part of a preamp?).

Now we come to the most important thing for me; the sound. Even though the Fusion 12 Maple is about 50 euros cheaper, it had a far more convincing sound that this one. Both guitars suffer from a bit of a ''plasticky'' and ''muffled'' sound, but Fusion 12 Maple was far more enjoyable both to play and listen; it had more projection and the tone with which you can at least work with. The basses were more pleasant too, even though they weren't loud.

Based on these experiences, if I've had to choose between these two models, I would definitely go for the Maple one; not only it sounds better and the wood on the guitar is visually more pretty, you'll also save yourself 50 euros.

An excellent guitar for the price , great tone and playability. I had don a lot of online research this guitar came up to all expectations. I like the light weight of the guitar great sustain and ease of playing . I had read the fret finnish was in need of dress but I believe cordoba have stepped up quality control on this issue. it would have been preferred if the guitar came with a hard case but the soft bag is passable.
