Comprato per fare una sostituzione al mio ampli, un ELKA 80W.
Suono caldo, ottima fattura .
poco da dire sono rimasto molto soddisfatto da questo acquisto consiglio a tutti, in particolare a chi fa blues o hard rock!

..pompati da una testata ampeg e ripresi da un EVre20 e da un beyer m160 ho registrato i bassi e le chitarre più convincenti della mia carriera. roba di categoria!

reprise settembre 2020:
ieri 9 settembre ho avuto l'opportunità di lavorare per la prima volta coi djeco, duo basso/batteria veramente esaltante. collegato il basso alla firefly e quindi all'ampli ho notato subito un fastidioso ronzio venire dagli speaker, ho pensato ad un problema di messa a terra ma l'interruttore lift/ground della d.i. ha fallito e già m'è parso strano.. avvicinandomi mi sono accorto che un solo redback ronzava. alla prima nota il cono sfarfallava come se fosse strappato, ma strappato non era! il "cap" era per metà scollato così stamani mi son deciso a ripararlo e controllando l'altro ho potuto constatare che era quasi nelle stesse condizioni. per fortuna anni fa ho costruito una cassa 2x15" jensen ed ho sostituito la redback proseguendo con le registrazioni.
per fare un'ottima ed intelligente polemica vorrei dire che questi coni hanno sempre lavorato in casa a volumi intelligenti senza mai strafare e che sulla plastica rossa è scritto orgogliosamente "made in uk", dovrebbero scriverci "feetmade in uk". ho detto tutto.
mi par giusto lasciare il minimo per la fabbricazione e togliere una stella al gradimento totale.

Initially I purchased this speaker as a replacement for a K100 speaker, which blew up. Initially I was blown away by how full and balanced this speaker sounds. I find V30s overly harsh in the high mids, Creambacks overly saturated in the low mids and K100s lacking in definition. The Redback speaker seems to combine the best of all three. Monsterously fat tone that is suited for any style, from twangy cleans to crushing high gain. The 150w power rating also allows this speaker to be used as a single speaker with pretty much any amp.

Great low-mid oriented speaker

The title says it all. If you want to tame an amp with too much high mids, this is the speaker for you, as it delivers the traditional Celestion voiced-clarity with a good emphasis on the low-mid territory. The treble is still there, and the lows are very good too. I sold my Vintage 30s, which sounded a little too agressive with my ENGL Blackmore, and I definitly prefer these. Mind you, I like V30s with lots of other amps who benefit from a more open-sounding speaker, but with my ENGL these sound much more balanced and thicker, both miced and in the room.
The sensitivity rating at 100dB does seem a bit misleading, as the tamed high mids make this speaker sound a bit quieter than the louder V30s I had before. But I don't see that becoming a problem, unless you're planing to mix speakers in the same cab - in that case, I'd rather mix it with something like a T75 or something with similar output.
