I bought this as a simple way to change my mobile lighting rig from fixed held colours to sound-to-light to blackout and it does the job PERFECTLY! All it took was for it to be connected at the end of the chain from my lighting desk, a few buttons to arm the record mode and it saved each scene effortlessly. Gone is the mixing desk and this is all I now need. I've even built a simply IEC plug extension cable so I can power this directly from one of the fixtures.

I owe whoever designed this thing a beer or two.

... sein DMX Set bedienen!

Als mobiler DJ stehe ich mal vor 50, mal vor 250 Leuten und daran angepasst ist dann auch das Lichtequipment (4x PAR 56 LED bis hin zu 8x PAR LED, Blinder, LED Wallwasher, Movingheads etc.) und da will ich nicht immer das große Pult mitschleppen. Die vorhandenen Programme sind innerhalb von 10min in den SD-10 übertragen und einfach abzurufen. Zu beachten ist, dass 96 der letzte Kanal ist!
Zudem ist die Fadezeit an die Chasezeit gekoppelt, also entweder CHASE SPEED mit 0% Fade wählen, oder beispielsweise 3s Fade Time - dann aber auch 3s Chase Speed - naja...
Nützlich sind die zusätzlichen STROBE Speicherplätze, die einen musikbezogenen Eingriff in das ablaufende Programm des SD-10 erlauben.

Hat ein anderer DJ ein vergleichbares Lichtequipment und ebenfalls einen SD-10, kann man den Speicher auch komplett überspielen, das spart im Vergleich zum manuellen kopieren eine Menge Zeit.

Die Bedienungsanleitung (auch auf deutsch!) ist verständlich, auf englisch allerdings ausführlicher.
Durch die nur wenigen Bedienelemente ist zwar eine rasche und fast narresichere Bedienung während einer Show möglich, das Programmieren jedoch an einigen Stellen fummelig (Doppelbelegungen der Knöpfe und mehrfaches Drücken erforderlich).

Eine Stromversorgung per 9V Batterie wäre mein einziger Ergänzungswunsch. Nicht nur gemessen am Preis bietet der SD-10 einen sinnvoll großen Funktionsumfang für Leute die zum Programmieren ein größeres Pult besitzen, dies aber nicht immer unterwegs dabei haben müssen. Genau da setze ich den SD-10 ein und spare mir viel Platz im Auto, Gewicht und Zeit beim Aufbau.

easy to use.
i use it to record the show when i am using a DMX controller.
when i'm on a small gig i don't need the DMX controller.

i can just playback and switch between the recorded shows.

No encontré mucha información sobre este producto antes de comprarlo, con lo cual me arriesgue y tengo que decir que acerté. Lo utilizo para pequeñas discotecas móviles y es muy cómodo ya que no ocupa mucho espacio a diferencia de la mesa DMX que tenia que llevarme antes. Es bastante sencillo de programar, aunque para seleccionar los programas tienes que ir de uno en uno y a veces es difícil dar con la escena que quieres a no ser que las apuntes. Por el precio que tiene es totalmente recomendable.
