Build quality of these Quilter combos is beyond reproach.
Mombasaflash, 08.03.2021
Thomann's unmatched returns policy has allowed me to conduct a thorough A/B/C test between this Quilter Travis Toy 15 Combo, the smaller Quilter TT-12 and my 1983 Peavey Nashville 400 combo.

These new Quilter ToneBlock 202 amps really are superb. They are totally quiet in operation with a very usable reverb, a universal power supply and excellent connectivity, plus the ability to remove the amp from the cabinet and keep it close for tweaking or to use as a recording preamp, all making an exceptionally versatile piece of professional kit.

As for the sound, this 15" combo, surprisingly, is more brittle sounding than the 12" combo. Weirdly, the smaller 12" combo actually sounds bigger! It has a much fuller bass response and slightly less harsh treble.

Conclusion: I prefer the smaller TT-12 combo to this TT-15. Which is really annoying because I have waited a whole year for the 15" version to get over here from the USA.
