Why have not others come up with that?
Erdmensch, 11.08.2017
The spin XLR sends a phono signal through a RIAA equalizer, balancing it and feeding it unamplified to a balanced input that can handle microphone level and boost to line level or studio level.
Only for this electronics a (mostly very stable) + 48V phantom power is needed.

At first this does not sound spectacular. However, it opens up completely new possibilities for those who are looking for the best possible phono preamp. And this, mind you, without relying on the mostly overpriced hi-fi / high-end offer.
In addition to the pure hi-fi application, the digitization of vinyls is conceivable, of course. The connection combinations can be varied. From the simple audio interface to any studio or PA consoles to high-quality stereo mic preamps or even channel strips in duo, everything is conceivable.
In addition to high-quality signal processing, you will often find useful sound processing options available.

I use the inconspicuous adapter box with an ART DPS II stereo mic preamp, which allows for selectable input impedance as well as pro-rata tube overtone blending. There are also various presets to color the sound. For other devices, for example, it may be a controllable high-pass filter.

Even with this, rather cheap preamp
The result is a powerful, clear and precise-graduated sound that reminds me a bit of the phono-preamp sound of good form sound desks. It's hard to imagine what happens when you attach a Focusrite ISA Two or something similar.

Processing and material appearance of the spin XLR let me imagine a long device life. Fixed-seat cinch sockets, a large, handy ground clamp screw (which I did not even need), strain reliefs on flexible and not too thin cables as well as detachable male XLR lines of good Far Eastern quality support this assumption just as the small plastic Casing.
>
> If you know that you have to switch on the + 48V phantom power of your amp or console before releasing the output signal, you can not go wrong with the controls. iConnectvity specifies this "missing link between turntable and studio" for use with magnetic pickups.
Since my combination (Ortofon Vinylmaster Silver) still 25dB gain remain at headroom, I can quite imagine the use of some MC scanners.
Conclusion:
There is nothing to complain about. The part is unrivaled. The price is a joke. More of that!
