Really useful and easy to use
David696, 01.07.2011
This pedal is really a fantastic work tool. It is very well designed which makes it easy to use without having to study the instructions before.
There are a lot of shortcuts to access the functions thanks to the pedals, which avoids having to stoop constantly to access the options (effects, access to another preset ...)
This looper has two tracks that allow you to record and erase an improvisation on a rhythm loop as many times as you want.
If you are wondering if the duration of recording is sufficient, know that you have for 3h !!! magnificent
Question robustness, I believe that this pedal fears no shock!
So, I hope that this evaluation will be useful to you ...

Not recommendable

Of course, the RC-30 can easily handle the most important basic functions (Rec, Play, Overdub on the left button). Extended storage space and USB connection are there, but that should be self-evident.

The second track can be a big advantage for live use, but unfortunately this is almost useless, since it does not allow multiples of the recording track of the first track, and (ii) it is impossible to change the track quickly and quickly Is. The live functionality is therefore roughly that of the RC-3 (with additional XLR connector), not to compare with RC-50 or even a boomerang.

If you want to use the Looper as an exercise helper, you can use the foot of the 10 (well-sounding) drumtracks to load 99 loops. However, it makes the switchover delay between the tracks impossible, eg. Rhythm tracks for strophe / refrain / outro and to switch them seamlessly. To switch with the foot (hands free to play) one still needs an additional pedal (FS-6). The Digitech Jamman Stereo can do all this better, with no switching delay and switches to change the tracks. In addition, the 'End Mode' can also be set for live tracks (Stop / Finish / Fade), the RC-30 can only be used for recorded tracks. The switching noise in the Jamman is, by the way, tolerable taking into account these advantages.

I find the effects completely unnecessary, in the first place they cost space and make the operability of important primary functions, which are only accessible via a menu and the cursor buttons.
