This pre-made cable costs less than the parts to DIY.
It also fits into the sockets better than most of the more expensive ones.
I've bought some of these cables to have them permanently connected in the studio, but I've ended abusing them quite a bit. Several years later they still work.
The only downside is that the connectors are moulded, so it can't be repaired, but for that price I can't complain and the fact that the connectors are moulded also means that they are shorter, therefore the cable puts less torque on the socket and this is a good thing.

Verlässliches Kabel, guter Preis
Wunderbares Kabel für mein Studio Setup, bei dem mein Stage Piano keinen Platz mehr auf dem Schreibtisch findet. Ich würde immer eines der preisgünstigen Thomann Kabel empfehlen, es lohnt sich einfach nicht, mehr Geld für ein teureres Kabel in die Hand zu nehmen, sofern man nicht ein wirklich robustes Kabel für die outdoor Nutzung braucht. Was Kabel angeht ist die Thomann Eigenmarke die beste Wahl.

Mixed feelings
I ordered 2 cables, one didn't work, and gave me quite a headache that there was something wrong with my setup/equipment. The other one works just fine. Using it to connect drum module to audio interface.
So yeah 2.5/5.

Durability first
I bought this cable to connect my midi food controller with my rig in live situation.
I had a very uncomfortable situation when someone stepped on my plastic housed midi cable during the soundcheck and the connector had so much deformity that I was not able to plug in anymore.
This cable with metal connector is super strong and also the cable itself is very durable and flexible. Furthermore it looks quite professional. Probably because it is professional

Great for light studio use.
I use these for connecting to my recording interface; they are highly flexible and coil well. I have no complaints about their function. They aren't heavy duty and so I wouldn't trust them to heavy live use, but at this price point they are obviously not designed for that. Recommended.

Good quality midi cable. Lots of colours to chose from which makes identifying connectivity from synths and keyboard to midi patchbay a breeze. Plus.. some colouring in the cables can be nice in your studio!

Gets the job done for the perfect price.
