Quality barebones dual humbucker guitar
MMihai3 04.09.2019
Summary: the construction of this guitar is minimal, for cost efficiency, just what is done is done very well.

I bought this guitar to make a versatile dual humbucker with coil split, using Super Distortion pickups, out of it.

What I really liked about it:
- looks great, finish is impeccable. A very stylish guitar. Also quite light.
- great playability! - its neck is satin finished, hand slides easily when playing. The fretboard radius is high, neck is thin and everything can be played with ease. Its body is ergonomic and slick.
- set up, this guitar can maintain a low action with no fret buzz. Stays in tune extremely well, probably the best I had, in this respect, along with other guitar more than twice as expensive.

What is so and so:
- the only place where attention is not payed is inside the electronics cavity - not shielded, wired normally, not particularly neat, neither very messy, though.
- its pickups are not particularly inspiring. They are a bit thin compared against some branded pickups I am replaced them with.

What I didn't like, just out of personal preference:
- not a fan of Strat-style control ergonomics: the volume potentiometer is too close to the strings, it hinders my playing a little. Just one who wants volume tweaking speed may enjoy it. The screw fixing Tele-type metal knob is not particularly fit in this application, in my opinion, let alone not very fit with the provided knurled shaft potentiometers it comes equipped with.
- the tone of this guitar is a bit thin itself, due to its being lightweight, probably. Not very twangy, as I would have liked. A rosewood fingerboard Strat fan would probably love it, though. It would make a great guitar for metal and blues, though.
