I bought this as a replacement for my clip on tuner, which is pretty good, but with my bandmates making all kinds of noise around, I needed a tuner that picks up the electric signal and not the acoustic vibrations. I use it on a standard 4-string bass. This is my experience so far.
Pros: - It works - picks up the tone well enough. - It is small, so it does not take up much space on a pedalboard. - The screen is bright and easy to see. - Very simple to operate. It only has a single true bypass switch that cuts the signal when you're tuning, or bypasses the tuner when you aren't. - The build feels solid. - The price is affordable.
Cons: - No battery operation. You need an external power supply, which is not included. - It adds a buzzing noise when in tuning mode. When one of the LEDs lights up, you can actually hear it in the signal chain. I put a compressor and a fuzz pedal after it, which makes it sound even worse. That is not a big deal, since it only happens when tuning, not while playing, so you can just turn the amp down. Still, it is annoying. I would expect something better from a Warwick-branded product. I use a simple daisy-chain cable for powering my pedals, I am not sure if that is part of the problem or not.
This tuner is quite nice. There are several problematic moments with it, but in general - it does what it should. The tuner is accurate, but it barely catches my 7th string (I play in Drop A). It doesn't work with batteries and this might be a con, in case of a problem with the power source. The box it came in is pretty nice, I'm gonna hang on to it. The stompbox itself is built like a tank, it is amazingly solid and can take a beating.
