Amazing distortion / OD

Very good pedal.

From start, easy to use with tonal options to suite your needs as it can adept various amps. I run this pappy in front of DT25 (clean and british crunch) and old Marshall AVT50.

Wampler states that this is distortion pedal, but I found it to be much more, covering OD sounds to full blown distortion sounds, as expected.

Very well build, with firm knobs it will very well adapt to any amp because of three tonal knobs (mid, tone and bright/even switch).

This is not an amp in a box approach, but something you put in front of a clean amp. If used on a clean channel you will get distortion sounds from Satriani to Pantera, but put in front of a crunch amp with modest gain, man it blowed me away. It emphasis amps characteristic not coloring sound so much, but you can eq with its own controls as well.

Very quiet pedal, suitable for studio recording and plays well with boost and compressor pedals.

Battery compartment is not easy to reach, but if you're using it on pedal board with power supply, you don't have to worry.

Love this distortion pedal. So easy to use. huge range of sounds, from overdrive to full on metal. Playing with a Gibson LP. Usual first class service from Thomann!

Awesome tone, and studio quiet operation. Wampler is one of the kings of tone, works particularly well when rolling on and off the guitar volume

they don't praise it for nothing

the bass player actually thought the sound is coming from my tube amp. it cleans up as a tube amp distortion, it sounds really thick and chuggy, plenty of sustain, well built and with an overall great character.

plays well over a clean channel, and maybe over a pushed clean. not so suitable over already distorted channels. i guess you could use it with very low gain settings over a driven channel, but it would be a bit of a waste of this pedal.
