An excellent SG style guitar. I've played them all, and this is as good as any, including Gibson's. Very good value for money. Very well made. It came well set up with a lowish action. It is great to play, and sounds very good. I would happily recommend this guitar to someone looking for an excellent SG guitar, who is unwilling to pay Gibson prices.

After unpacking, I could not resist the first grips. When I vote I tested the intonation, and was positively adjusted - not surprised, as previous reviews have judged well over this SG, and several YouTube videos have confirmed the purchase decision (Also the Epiphone G400 was initially in the narrow selection).
First impression: However, the comic nickel strings sounded somewhat dull. So strings down, and before the new clamping first cleaned the device. No varnish or shaky hardware components. The fretboard was a little chocky, but otherwise a great guitar.
Sound characteristics: The pickups are also satisfactory. Of course there is still something better. The Neck-PU is very bass-reinforced and produces the typical sounds you expect. You can only get this "clean" when you turn off the bridge-pu because the two pickups are not separated correctly, which is the only thing I can do on the guitar. An exemplary electronics looks different.
Also the Bridge-PU sounds quite nice with slight fitzeln in the heights in the clean operation. Crunch to say would be exaggerated. Since the two Pu's are not strictly separated, a few bass from the Neck-PU swing with. With an ultra-brutal high-gain mopped the guitar roars like a big one. Sure for Death or Nu-Metal probably a little weak. But for that I have a RG with hot PU's. So for this kind of Mucke one should change the PU's probably .... at least the Bridge-PU. Until now, I also had no microphone pickup. These seem to be simply waxed. If the wax runs away, and the device starts to whistle and quench, I will edit my comment here again.
Processing: From the playability it is different than a jet ax. The fat D neck profile feels good, and also nicely transfers the bass. The fact that the whole thing has been made of mahogany - including the neck-neck - benefits the brilliant overtones. This results in a dry, unpowered sound, a loud and clear sound with a lot of sustain. This guitar seems to me ultralight. A little slimmer than my RG she is already. However, I am always amazed how easy it is.
This brings us to the design-related imbalance. The belt pin is finally attached at the back of the neck where the neck is normally screwed to the body. Nevertheless, the guitar is not as copious as I first feared. The Jackson RandyRhoads of a Kupel is far more disgusting. Does not bother playing. You already notice the slight tendency to want to lower your head. But I compare this with a Powerstrat, which is formally attached to the body.
The machine heads on the head are also ok. Better than those of Epiphone, of which I have already some models. So if you need a Rocker / Popper / Rockabily guitar that MUST NOT be gemodded, the vintage is the right place. Not the absolute best. Considering the good workmanship, the selection of timbers, and the quality of the hardware, a real consideration.
Subjetive Opinion: You could say I'm very satisfied. But actually had to pull stars off. Perfect processing, it is not just what the sound also affects. Like previously described. For this I say however only 275, - Euro ^^ Who can solve the problem with the electrics, or live with the circuit is here on the right path. At the moment, I am considering a 498T or a P57 in the bridge position, because I would like the music style, for which I bought the guitar, only the Volumepoti the Crunch in the Cleancanal. Something missing is the pepp. Most, however, will use a dual-canal or floor effect to produce a beautiful twist.
I hope this helps you in the decision. Have fun with the Vintage VS6B!
