An overall very good leaf screw
If a product description shows what great effects certain particular implementations of parts have, then I am usually inclined to not consider such information as correct. With this leaf screw I disagree.
The solid leather blade (on my B / A clarinet I have been playing this blade for eight years) looks professional, and can be used perfectly for the intended use. Handling is simple, fast and reliable. Supplied with the leaf screw are three pressure plates, one of metal, one of soft and one of hard leather. The replacement of the individual panels is done quickly by a Velcro closure system, but you have to make sure that the panel is straight "cemented".
I personally think of the three pressure plates for the Eb clarinet that are made of soft leather (on the B / A clarinet I use the metal), but of course, like so many accessories for instruments, absolutely taste.
I have tried this leaf screw in direct comparison to the Vandoren Optimum leaf screw, and think that the sound with the leather screw is somewhat warmer and fuller, but in the (important) highest positions the sounds are slightly harder and less brilliant and often vocally wrong, Perhaps because the leaf screw is too flexible, too much and gives way too much.
So I finally decided for the Vandoren Optimum, but I can put this leaf screw to anyone who does not want to play Mahler's first symphony, and is therefore only in the three-cornered position.
Lastly, it is always the case that this decision is best for yourself, because, like the personal feeling of the game, one can only find oneself. A place in the final selection, the Vandoren Leather blade screw has earned quite certainly.
