Good Cushions
Gor 28.05.2015
I'm satisfied with these. They protect my precious mouthpiece with out changing the shape or feel it. The texture is similar to mouthpiece hard rubber with just a little cushion. They seem to be holding up pretty well. I have about 10 hours on one and there is no sign of of wear or cutting through. These are very easy to apply and I stopped noticing it was even there after a few rehearsals. I pulled it off once and moved it and it still adheres well. My front teeth are uneven and these protect mouthpieces from developing a gouge where my longer tooth is.If you have a mouthpiece over $50 you need to pick some up. Note these are quite thick and can be bought thinner. I know there are a few people saying that its uncomfortable. This is true, but only if you are completely new to mouthpiece Cushions/Patches. Once you get used to them, they are a true money saver.
If your not convinced consider this: If you buy a $200 mouthpiece, and don't get mouthpiece patches, you are bound to get teeth marks. This is extremely frustrating as you would have to buy another $200 mouthpiece. You could avoid ALL of the hassle and just buy some mouthpiece patches.

Very good product from a highly reputable company.

I’ve been a Vandoren advocate and customer for over 39 years and they never fail to produce exactly what I know I’m getting.

The previous statement was no less apparent on these mouthpiece cushions. Very high quality and comfortable to play with even on longer practice sessions. Vandoren do it again and get another 11/10 from me.

These are not the cheapest or most expensive, however, where they have the edge is quality and playability on long sessions. They last for a lot longer than their competitors (all the ones
I’ve tried at least, just to see if I was missing something, went straight back to my Vandoren.)

These are definitely for both beginners and advanced players alike. Definitely worth the money.

A "must" for the clarinet mouthpiece
Anonymous 09.03.2017
Ever since the modern clarinet schools came up with to rest your teeth above the mouthpiece, these cushions were needed for protection of the mouthpiece. Without it, the mouthpiece (which can be very expansive) gets biting marks and ruins your precious mouthpieces.
This product misses one star, because I think it is weird that Thomann shows a picture of 6 cushions and only gives 4 of them.
