Amazing Innovation
Matt R, 23.05.2018
I have owned tons of capos over the years and this is by far the best one. All of the other capos I have had contribute some kind of buzz or intonation issue to sound. I use it on stage all the time so need a quick and accurate capo.

With Thalia's interchangable fret pads, I have matched the capo to my guitar perfectly. I love the feel and design of it. I love how it works. It is super easy to use and move.

My only criticism would be that Thalia recommend storing the capo above the nut but for me that tends to put a little pressure on the strings thus pulling them out of tune. But that is a small thing as I just keep the capo in my back pocket until I need it.

Brilliant piece of work. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, Capo does not know what he promises
Gerhard aus K., 16.10.2017
The topic of capo tasting is and remains delicate - unfortunately, I had high hopes in this new product on the market.

The look of the Thalia Capo is appealing and very variable (I have the cheapest option - because technically ident - chosen) and the idea of ??exchangeable rubber lips for various radii of fingerboards and two variants for different contact pressure I liked, and I have to admit that I was tempted by the marketing strategy of this US manufacturer to buy this product.

The elaborate packaging is reminiscent of premium mobile phone manufacturers, everything available, clear manual with guitar manufacturer tables, so you can select the right capo use. The Capo himself is quite massive, has a rather broad 'finger', but looks chic with his real wood insert.

I tested the Thalia Capo on a 6-string Taylor (414-CE-R) and a 12-string Martin (GPC12-PA4) - so only acoustic guitars (electric guitars usually cause little problems because of the smaller string spacing and required contact pressure) ,

And here came the disillusionment:
The placement and transfer requires a relatively high force, the compression between the thumb and the middle / index finger is more difficult than other capos with spring, where you have to clench your fist for posting. The 'parking' on the saddle requires high precision and has disturbed me for space reasons.

On the 12-string:
Despite the obvious high biasing force of the spring and the use of the recommended 16 "radius rubber for Martin, I did not manage to position the capo so that it does not snarl, and I tried it out (near the waistband, in the middle, etc Of course, the physical problem of the octave E string in addition to the low E strings could not be circumvented (the low E strings have to be tuned down). The mastery of exactly these Capo problems are on the Thalia website praised in the highest tones - which is unfortunately not so.

On the 6-string:
Here I was able to mount the capo so that the strings sounded clean - but it was not fast, precision / exercise is required. In the process, I noticed another phenomenon: the relatively high mass of the capo audibly attenuates / alters the acoustic sound (at least for my ears), and in the parking position the guitar also becomes more top-heavy.

I'd like to say that I've been playing acoustic guitars for about 40 years, using capos over and over again, and really trying to give Thalia a chance. I sent it back and stick to my Shubb C3 for the Martin and C1 for the Taylor - they are light, slim, have adjustable contact pressure and work well (12-string tuning is required).
