Strymon Lex
John378, 15.05.2013
I've owned the H&K Rotosphere and Boss RT-20. Neither come close the sound quality and genuine sound modelling of the Strymon Lex. The Lex is also small then the others meaning that it doesn't take up as much space on your pedalboard. Excellent build quality. Intuitive control features. Buy one - you will not be disappointed.

Digital modelling at it's finest!
Cornelia24, 18.02.2014
Let's face it: If you want a rotary effect/ Leslie-Simulation, you haven't got many choices, and that's a lot money for a single effect, but that's definetly worth it if you want an authentic rotary effect. In fact, I compared it to a real Leslie speaker my keyboardplayer has, and it wasn't as different as expected.
The sound is very special, but if you like the Leslie Effect, this is the one for you! It sounds simply great!
The Strymon Lex has a True-Bypass, four jacks (input/exp/L(mono)/R) and two buttons for turning the effect on and controlling the speed.
The handling is a bit complicated because every poti has two functions, which you have to read in the manual, but the second functions only have to be done one time (like setting the end-volume) before a gig etc., so it isn't a big problem.

It's definitly worth the money if you want the sound of an Leslie-Speaker!

Great pedal!!!
Zdravko M., 08.12.2015
I've been looking for a Leslie simulator pedal for some time, and I've been torn between this one, and the Ventilator2.
I have to say that I never tried either of them before buying this one, but I've been listening to a lot of reviews that you can find on u-tube, and reading posts on every site that I could find relating to this topic, As I found out, there are some people prefering the vent, and there are some that like this one better. Someone even said that John Mayer replaced his Ventilator with this pedal.... But, what made me buy this one are this things: - it costs less then the vent, and it's way smaller, so it fits my pedalboard, the vent would not fit. And, I am more than 100% satisfied with my purchase.
This pedal has great sound, and all the options that anyone would need from this kind of effect, and the build quality is great!!! When using stereo out to two guitar amps, the real fun begins! :)
You can easily get that SRV, or beautiful Gilmour tone. Only one problem with it: I can't seem to play anything without it anymore :)

Strymon Lex,
Almost like a real thing, so close with the sound.
I had an opportunity to play with the real Leslie Cab for a while and fell in love with the sound. rotating speakers just add sweetness to the overall guitar tone. But a drawback is that Leslie is expensive, heavy, hard to work live, though in the studio it is amazing. Since then I was looking for a device what is easy to operate, light to cary and sound is studio quality. I did try most popular ones what was available in town, but nothing get even close to Leslie cab.
Strymon Lex was my discovery what makes me play and write music with even greater inspiration and bigger passion. small, compact, easy to operate, sounds close to the real thing. Just plug and go wild. custom options were beyond my expectation. Changing the speeds and mic positions rear or front of the cab and even drive sounds close to the real drive.
With one amp is great, with two that little thing is AMAZNG! :)
it is not cheap but way cheaper that a real Leslie, sooo... quality stuff with sweet sound
it will stay on my pedalboard for a long time
