Not for 1169 Euros man...

Ok look, i know we all loooooooooove John Petrucci and that's one of the main reasons to buy his guitar right? NO, wrong. This guitar was so sloppily treated. The finish was so problematic in many ways. The "tape" around the humbucker was forced to its place. I am pretty sure that the guitar had no inspection neither from Thomann nor from the Sterling Factory. Thomann of course offered to refund the money but nevertheless the guitar that i had in my hands was not worthy 1169 euros.
I think sterling should have a closer look to its competitors...
On the bright side, yes the bridge is awesome and so is the neck. But, again, for 1169 Euros these days, some more attention should have been given.

Esperaba mayor calidad

La guitarra en sí es buena y tiene muy buen sonido y tacto... pero no viene bien ajustada, los botones de volumen y tono llegaron desatornillados, los afinadores de tipo "locking tremolo" al "clipar la cuerda" la cortaban, lo que significó comprar 6 juegos de cuerda extras, la cuerda G hasta que se adapta la tensión se desafina al mínimo bending y hay que estar jugando con el tremolo para recuperar el equilibrio del puente como si fuera un tipo strato con puente fijo...

Por el precio esperaba mucha más calidad...

Tengo 9 guitarras más, la mayoría ibanez y line 6 con y sin puente flotante y/o bloqueador de cuerdas y nunca he tenido los problemas que me ha estado dando esta.

No la llevaría para directo.

27/11/2019 - Revisando el origen de tanta desafinación, las tuercas donde van los tornillos donde bascula el puente flotante se desplazan al hacer bendings o usar el vibrato por que bailan en los agujeros donde se asientan cuando tendrían que haber quedado empotradas como en cualquier puente flotante.

Para solucionarlo el que montó el puente metió unas falcas de latón en lugar de desechar el cuerpo o restaurar el agujero metiendo madera de nuevo. Fatal por el montador y por el control de calidad.

Además estos agujeros atraviesan el cuerpo hasta los muelles y pueden sacarse las tuercas por debajo. Fatal para una guitarra de este precio.

Buena elección

Sorprende gratamente por su ligereza en el peso y sus pastillas "by sterling" que a pesar de no ser dimarzio cumplen muy bien.
La construcción de la guitarra en general es buena, con un mástil cómodo y de fácil acceso a traste superiores. Su tamaño es inferior al de una guitarra standard pero aún así resulta cómoda al apoyar el antebrazo en ella
En cuanto al puente, éste es estable y sin problemas de afinación. Su clavijero cromado resulta elegante.
El botón "push-push" de 12db realza su sonido muy suavemente
