Stanford OM 28

Raccoon, 13.03.2016
The Stanford OM 28 is the hammer. The most important thing is, of course, the sound, and the most important thing is that it is very balanced: round basses, full mids and clean highs deliver a beautiful sound picture for folk and fingerstyle. But also the strumming makes the guitar a good figure, sounds powerful and powerful. Regardless of whether you play very softly or softly or clean skin, the Stanford speaks very well to everything.
The rather small and flat body of the OM is very handy, which does not have a negative impact on sound and volume. The neck is well in the hand and the handle with 45mm saddle width is very comfortable for me to play. My copy was also perfectly adjusted from the beginning. The Stanford plays incredibly easy - the string position is very low, yet nothing pertains. You do not want to put the guitar out of your hands.
"Features" can be difficult to evaluate with such an instrument, it is just a pure acoustic guitar without a pickup and without a cutaway. I did not want anything else. I would however still want a second belt pin, I will still attach myself.

Conclusion: For around 600¤, the Stanford sounds like an instrument that could be twice as expensive. For this she also looks really good and is impeccably processed.
In the price class I have not played anything comparable. Highly Recommended!

Nice the granny!

Jean195, 02.07.2016
I had been looking for a copy of OM for some time. This format combines a case of size 000 with a handle to the tune of Dread. To get an idea, this represents, with respect to the 000, an additional length equivalent to half of the first box. It is supposed to give more power to the guitar, since the strings are more strained for a same tuning. And it is true that this is felt in the game and in the ear. I bought this Stanford after reading very positive reviews on the various forums, and it is true that it is a good guitar. The quality of production is very good, no defects spotted, the case is very nice, with herringbone nets (there is even one around the rose), it gives off a very vintage feeling. The handle is more modern, built in three pieces, mahogany quite clear (this is where the Stanford frankly gets away from the copied model, that's why I removed a star with features), with a varnish satin. Its width of 1 3/4 at the nut predisposes it to the picking, its profile, little marked, half-round, is comfortable. The guitar arrives rather well regulated, for my part, I slightly lowered the action of the strings by decreasing the height of the easel nut. The sound now. Well, it's very good. The spectrum is narrower than on a D28, for example, the size of the body favors a very balanced sound from bass to treble, through mediums well present. The crate vibrates well, the dams have been very refined (I checked, it's a good job). In short, it is not an ordinary guitar, I have a lot of fun playing on it. I play other Asian guitars that I like very much, in the same spirit "vintage replica" like Recording King, Blueridge, Eastman. As a manufacturing company, I would rank the Stanford at the top of the list with
Eastman. In the gameplay, all these brands are very good. For sound, the Stanford delivers a sound that is perhaps more accomplished, more "complex" than the others, closer to the model copied. In terms of quality / price ratio, the Recording King remain unbeatable, but be careful the quality is not constant, with the RK do not hesitate to send back and recommend in case of defect found.
So, hoping this will help folk guitar lovers.
