Stairville D610H Dimmerpack MKII
In January 2009 I was faced with the decision, which dimmerpack it should now create in my Lichtrack ....
I used the following features: 10A load capacity per channel, DMX512 as well as 2x 16pol. Harting outputs. Since the basic model D610H unfortunately has only a Harting output, I decided for the D610H MKII.
Especially the excellent processing of the device I noticed positively. Inside the unit everything is very neat and thought-out. The CEE plug as well as the line circuit breaker come from a very well-known German manufacturer and have as a special feature a field for the insertion of small symbols. Unfortunately the operation of the device by the front buttons is somewhat tedious, these could be more ergonomic arranged.
For example, to get to the pre-heating of the lamps, you have to go through the menu and set the desired value individually for each channel. Fortunately, it is possible to pre-heat the lamps via the DMX controller. Once the basic settings are made, however, the device works perfectly and does not forget the set values.
When the device is mounted in a rack, the somewhat too short connection cable with the 32A CEE is sometimes a hindrance. Nice would be either an attaching plug (but because of the lack of space probably only one HE would be more possible) or a longer cable, which should be at least 90cm long. The DMX connection on the front side as well as the phase displays L1, L2, L3 are also very successful. The sharp-edged handles on the front should, however, be reworked, because by the subdivision of these, a comfortable touching is only possible with glove.
Conclusion: Despite the small deficiencies a reliable device, which is worth every euro.
