Huge attack, a lot of "slamming", and amazing power, for one was so thin.
And yet, with extreme precision, the timbre reacts by touching the striking skin with the finger.
What more?

The stamp trigger is well designed, robust, and accurate, especially thanks to the 2 knobs on each side.
This is for me the best current system I know, compared to DW, Tama or Yamaha systems.

These brands may be very pretty models, but in terms of sound, Sonor is incomparable.
Their futs being slightly undersized, the skin is stretched a little like a classical orchestral timbale, the chamfer being very far from the edge of the skin. Chamfer which is also extremely precise.
So great ease of tuning, a lot of dynamics, sensitivity and a very natural sound.

However, this instrument seems to give the best of itself to an average tension of the skins.
If we want to stretch them a little more, we gradually lose the resonance, the sound becomes drier.
I fixed that by putting 1.6mm circles, metal washers and Booty Shakers.

In summary, I am very satisfied with my purchase, and for this price, I think, much better than what can offer these brands mentioned above.
In terms of quality of materials, manufacture or design, today Sonor is far ahead.
