LIght Case
Slim 17.11.2015
I was looking for lightweight acutic guitar case with backpack straps possibility. As I occasionally need to walk long distances with a guitar, the gigbag does not seem to be protective enough. Even when you are cautios, you can may never know... Plus when you gig professionally and you have to put your guitar with all other band instruments - drums, amplifiers, PA, etc - just gigbag is not safe at all, even just thowing it into your car's trunk. Traditional hardcases are too heavy to carry around.

SKB case is lightweight, has straps to carry the guitar over your shoulders and it has many pockets and slots to put all kind of neccessary (or unneccessary) stuff. As I have owned this kind of cases before, I already knew to not go for cheapest option. One lightweight case that I own had fabric tears in first few weeks. I carefully examined the pictures of this case and I knew the weak spots to look at. This SKB keeps in one piece just fine. I have used it for many months already. Only thing was, that one screw (which really has cosmetic function on the case) came out, but I was able to glue/screw it back. (That's why the review lost it's one star rationg on quality).

To sum it up: lightweight, good capacity with all the pockets and slots, looks good, seems to have good quality, after many months of usage all the sewing seams and fabric looks as new.

K
It Fit
Kriztof 09.04.2020
it would be great if Thomann would provide the names of which models of guitars fit in what cases. As it sits, it’s a guessing game. Regardless, I needed a case for a 1960 Kay hollow body, ES335 type. I took a chance & luckily It did fit in this case pretty well with some room to spare, it’s not a tight fit. The case is rugged and firm, it’s bulky, not soft and floppy. Offers good protection. It isn’t a light case, is does weigh in. I wouldn’t use it for airline check in luggage although it may survive? It’s a good replacement for a hard shell case, lots of padding.

I've been using it for 6 years and still there are no issues with it. Great case. My Martin dreadnought fits very well inside with a strap.

EM
Good case

I got this for both storage and transport of my Yamaha acoustic guitar and it works perfectly. It's solid on the outside and well-padded on the inside and I would have no fears about the guitar if this case fell over, was dropped, or had something else hit into it. The backstraps are very handy and it is is much lighter to carry than hard cases I have used in the past.
