Surprisingly good

johannes82, 24.05.2013
For this (relatively) cheap price, I had not expected any particularly convincing quality, but the SE215 beat themselves quite well. Schwaechen has the Hoerer however definitely in the Hoehen and the Baessen. I do not understand some comments that the SE215 would be quite bass-heavy, because he is certainly not. The Baessen lacks pressure and they sound a bit undefined. This is however still within the frame, if one around 80 Hz around a bit with the EQ nachhilft. At the Hoehen I have also made a test with the Graphic EQ and found that starting from about 10kHz is not much more. From 12-14 kHz, the boosting on the EQ is no longer a problem, so there is simply the listener at its limits.

In between, the Shure sounds surprisingly balanced. Piano sounds like a piano and the very sensitive strings are also coming out, maybe a little bit small, but not bad at all. A bit of correction at 1 kHz helped here. You can not expect gloss and silkyness if nothing happens at 14 kHz. The Baesse are - well, they are at least there, but you do not have the feeling that it blows away immediately. If you need something like this, you have to use a two-way system or higher. All in all, a CLEAN improvement to every floor wedge I've ever played with.

The Stoepsel hold very well in my (average) ears, however, I can imagine that one with small ears will have some problems. Unfortunately, after a while they press something in my right ear, which would surely be corrected with other passages and do not have to be so at each.

The exterior noise insulation is fabulous. You really hear almost nothing at all. Entertainment is no longer possible from a distance of> 50cm. Even the extremely loud drums of our drummers can hardly be heard in our proverbial, even though I am only two meters away from it. If you do not know something like this, you will probably feel uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it. An ambience micro is however in any case recommendable, since you are already very isolated on the stage.

Conclusion: For all, who otherwise also with a dropping stage monitor cope, the SE215 are certainly completely sufficient and above all much more comfortable. They sound quite balanced in the middle, but they have slight weaknesses in the bass and deficits in the hight, but they do not look so unpleasant. If you are looking for a clear sound and well-defined bass reproduction, you should take the more expensive Shure models in the two- or three-way system.

There are no comparable alternatives in this price segment. You can try the t.bone Hoerer perhaps times, but I have tested the EP-3, and that sounds really ABSOLUTELY catastrophic! Fingers away from it. As the larger models sound, I do not know, but that would be a considerable improvement to make the indisputable sound of the EP-3 still useful.

The cheap Fisher Amps Hoerer are unfortunately also nothing.

Horny part.

Marcus G, 09.05.2013
The headphones are on a weekly basis and are now on some gigs in use and I am absolutely enthusiastic!
I use the handset for the LD system MEI 1000 and hear everything clearly defined and clearly, even at low volume. Even the bass goes well! The comparison I have to the supplied headphones of the LD MEI 1000, my PC headset and my 35EUR MP3 headphones from Sennheiser.
These can all be put into the bin safely ... or give away :-)

For sound insulation:
We also rehearse with InEar, but have additional sound over the PA.
The "disadvantage" of this headphone: If the others do not speak into the micro, I do not understand a word. In addition, our drummer will be playing his acoustic set again from next week instead of his e-drum. In the rehearsal room the Akkustikset would be decadent - but I'm horrified now, because then I will not hear it again! (We had that before) :-)

After about 3x rehearsals I had finally figured out how to put the listener sensibly in the auricle. If you have not yet internalized, I find the first time difficult to go through :-)

Conclusion:
Absolutely horny part! If at the cable something should be broken, you can also exchange for about 50EUR.
