Vergleiche ich die beiden Instrumente, so ist die Roth u. Junius RJVAE 14 Zoll (516 Gramm) von Hora die überlegene. Der Ton ist stark und sehr wohlklingend, was sicher auch zum kleinen Teil durch die Pirastro-Tonica-Besaitung verursacht wird. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei, wenn auch die Wirbel in den ersten Tagen etwas Geduld erfordern, was jedoch durch die starken Feinsteller etwa erleichtert wird. Die Farbe ist geringfügig heller als dargestellt, sodass die schöne Fichtenmaserung zur Geltung kommt. Der Kinnhalter ist aus Plastik, der Saitenhalter aus Ebenholz.

Leider wurde der Stimmstock nicht senkrecht eingebaut, was jedoch von allen Fachleuten gefordert wird. Die Saitenabstände am Untersattel sind jedoch in Ordnung.
