I bought the TD-25K to play drums at home without annoying my wife and neighbors. In the run-up to the event, I got a lot of information and had shortlisted three candidates. The 2boxdrum kit was too expensive for me and the mostly bad reviews on HiHat have deterred me. Then stay with the Alesis Strike-Pro, which offers more with a tom pad and a crash tank than the Roland. Here, however, the widespread opinion of many users scared me that you have to screw around for weeks to get usable sounds. I did not feel like doing that. Since I wanted a set without a foot machine and would like to use a real hi-hat stand, the decision fell in favor of the TD-25.
The only criticism I've been able to find so far is that the rack could be a bit higher. However, this will not affect many users, but I am just 2 meters long. I'll probably come up with something to tease out a little more altitude. Otherwise: set up without even looking in the instructions - in about 50 minutes. The operation I found very intuitive and the sounds are m, M, after very useful - except for a little "Elektro-Gedöhns". Freeu me already on it, me a few own kits zusammenzubasteln. The low volume of the meshheads surprised me positively. The biggest impact sounder is the Hihatmaschine. Also pleasing was that a hi-hat holder is included in the delivery. I can do that as a holder for the soon to be retrofitted second crash cymbal - because you save a few Euros again.

Reasonable kits

THE RACK is very user friendly, no problem for editing. Fastening systems are very effective. The rack is a little low for people of tall stature, but nothing prevents to raise it with silent-blocks to prevent neighbors from taking advantage of impacts by transmission on the ground. These are the pedals that may pose the most problems of this type if you choose an electronic drum because of the neighborhood.

THE PADS the hi-hat is very effective, the openings sound well after a time of adaptation. The touch is nice if you play on the edge, the top is noisy, hard and the sound comes out less. Sub-mixed but you can adjust the volume, unfortunately no independent adjustment of the foot and the stick.
The bass drum pad is nice, but a little traveler and pretty sound. The slam is nice to play metal but very annoying for more soft kits. No need to buy a very expensive pad, a towel or a sweater is enough to solve the problem without losing an ounce of sensitivity. Mesh skins are comfortable and quiet, the snare is very sensitive and rolling. By cons, I do not like the cymbal pads, noisy and very hard that may hinder your neighbors and especially trigger tendinitis. I use a meshed skin for the ride so I can work without hurting myself.

THE MODULE is very easy to use. The kits are quickly accessible and editing is easy, instrument, pitch, harmonic attenuation, volume. We can not affect any sound against any pad, a tom is a tom. Drums, bells, wood-blocks and other claves can be placed on any pad, a pity that it is not the same for all other sounds, but it is an instrument for the use of drummers , not adventurers of contemporary percussion. The changes are instantaneous and are stored without any other editing process. Adjusting the levels of playback and general, click configurable, everything is very simple to use.

SOUNDS are very realistic and we have a wide choice to compose kits. Nothing to do with the synthetic sounds of the TD17, we have here samples of good quality, except the percussion, rather crude. A lot of kicks, especially 22. A 20 a little too dry and a 18 very "teen town" but there is something to do and it sounds. The snare drums are also of high quality, we can regret that on some samples the stamp is too loose, but there is also a great choice. The toms are varied, we will avoid the curly (guaranteed machine gun effect), the sounds range from natural to very large and the pitch function allows them to be tuned. Not precisely, we do not arrive at a great accuracy, but it avoids the stacks of minor thirds or the ninth flat.
The wrinkles are also numerous, sub-mixed (apparently these batteries are calibrated for drummers who smash) and must be put to the bottom to avoid having too much wash when playing a chabada.
Many crash cymbals, china and other splash that can also be modified, what to compose the thirty six kits possible.
In summary, an instrument of high quality, given the exorbitant price is the least of things. The natural sounds are satisfactory, and the nuances are fairly faithfully restored, which makes it a very pleasant battery to play.
