I was recommended to buy this and I am happy that I listened to it :)
Charles.P, 01.03.2021
Though the digital Piano FP-10 comes with its own pedal, I was recommended to get a solid and a slightly heavier pedal to start learning the instrument so that I would not get used to some bad learning habits related to the usage of pedal.

The pedal that comes with Digital Piano might be ok for someone who already know how to play the instrument but as a beginner I don't want to take that chance and so invested in getting a separate pedal.

The pedal itself is relatively cheap, great quality, very sturdy and stable. I totally recommend this to any beginners or to even experienced people who want to try this brand for the first time.

Overall, a great nice product.

Six month endurance
ivanavi, 14.02.2021
I bought the Roland FP-10 and thought I should go for a half pedal capable foot pedal.
So I went for this one, thinking it should have the same sturdy quality as the previous pedals from Roland that I’ve owned and been very happy with. I play one or two hours a day, only at home. So no gigging which could ware the pedal out.
Now, sex month later the pedal started to act a little quirky when using it in half pedal mode (which I always do). It was randomly going into half pedal even if I held the pedal all the way down. Very irritating. Thomann was kind enough to send me a replacement pedal (kudos) and the new pedal worked all right.
Now it has been five months since I got the exchange pedal and guess what? It’s starting to behave exactly as the replaced pedal: randomly going into half pedal mode even if I keep my foot all the way to the floor! Sometimes I even can reproduce the erroneous behaviour by just moving my foot to either side while keeping the pedal fully pressed.
There is a potentiometer mounted in the pedal that is responsible of sending the continuous signal to the piano (which interprets it into full/half/whole pedal). It seems this potentiometer gets worn out, or dirty, and randomly doesn’t send the fully open signal it should when the pedal is fully pressed to the floor. Maybe it could help if I sprayed some contact spray into the potentiometer, but why not put a god, sturdy potentiometer in the pedal in the first place!?!

Excellent Quality
Ambrush, 19.03.2021
Solid product, works as advertised. Stays put on the floor. Pedal feels great, not too heavy not too light.

I'm using this one for my midi keyboard in my home studio, my keyboard doesn't support continuous mode so I haven't tried that one, but works great in switch mode.

Great build quality, can definitely take a beating if you intend on bringing it to gigs. The rubber pad stops it from sliding around on the floor. Pedal is about the same size and have a similar feel as the sustain pedal on a piano. I'm happy with it and I can't think of any cons.

Very solid and well built but heavy
Kikodasneves, 24.08.2020
The pedal is great but takes a while to get used to because it's quite hard out of the box. Doesn't move at all while on the floor.

HOWEVER, the half damper functionality does NOT work with my yamaha p125, which supports half damper functionalities. I really don't why, maybe roland uses a different system. If you really want the half damper functionality, don't buy this for any brand other than roland products.

Ideal pedal for every keyboard
08.10.2016
I bought this to replace the pedal which was included with FP-30. It is very similar to regular piano pedal, including half-pedalling, which makes a big difference in playing. The addition of anti-slip plate is very useful, because a lot of other pedals I?ve used have had problems with them slipping away while playing. This pedal has also an option to use it with instruments that don?t support half-pedalling, so I would recommend this pedal for everyone who likes the feel of regular piano pedal.

Nice pedal, but could be better
This is Daniel A., 22.12.2020
A nice pedal, solid quality, but may be a bit noisy if you release it very fast. Quite springy, but for the price a good thing.

Great pedal with a great flaw - no polarity switch
Felipe_, 11.07.2019
I've bought this hoping it would be a great pedal because that's what most reviews say about it. However if by any chance your keyboard inverts the signal this will be useless due to its great flaw - no polarity reversal switch, it would be a great touch to add to it. Don't get me wrong it has a great built for its price if when connected the polarity is not reversed.

Great pedal
23.09.2014
The anti-grip mechanism is very handy. I own another pedal from Yamaha and it always slips away, although it also has the rubber bottom. This one doesn't slip, at least, not that fast. And for sure it's WAY better than Roland DP-2. I owned it in the past, and it was a nightmare, especially for the gigs.

So, if you consider buying DP-10 one or DP-2, buy DP-10! It's not that expensive, but it will save you a lot of nerves.

A must-have for any keyboarder
Alex Mik., 20.02.2014
A sustain pedal is a pretty simple, yet effective tool for every keyboarder. It just sends one simple MIDI command, but that can make a whole lot of a difference to your playing. Apart from the "traditional" purpose of letting piano sounds ring out, it's also useful to control the rotor speed of leslie simulations (a must-have for every organ player) and to sustain synthesizer sounds so you can tweak them with both hands. I've used it with a Nord Electro 3, a Novation Ultranova, A Novation Launchkey and a Novaiton Impulse and I never had any problems with it. After about a year of using it, it's still as good as new, that speaks for the high build quality.
