Good - Loud enough - Average sounds needs tweak
Matias M., 06.10.2016
The unit sounds VERY prominently in the mid range.

As a guitar / Mic amp works quite good given you kill most of the mids. The models are good, at least the Fender one which is the one I'm gonna be using.

The AUX input suffers the most here, everything you play sounds so freaking mid, no brightness, no bass, muddy as hell and no EQ to adjust that.

You'll definitely need to use a stereo EQ if you plan to use a BOSS RC-3 or any other looper. I use it as songs backing player (Jazz, produced in studio).

BTW: My BOSS-RC3 sounds too freaking loud too even at mid volume. The Cube could benefit of a volume there.

The good part is that I used my Zoom MS100BT "Exciter" to bring lows and highs and also lower the BOSS looper volume. That made it sound like a HiFi stereo rather than an amp which allowed me to increase the volume without distortion.

I don't think this is an unit you can use to play rock over backings at a decent volume, yes you can play rock/metal with your guitar alone, but the speakers will distort, sound muddy and awful if you play a backing track at the same time.

For Jazz with backings and acoustic with a singer I think is loud enough, I'll tell after playing outside, is definitely loud indoors.

I finally decided to send it back, not that it is a bad unit but falls short in volume/sound quality for my requirements. As I said, if you use it as a guitar amp only is all that you need.

Definiterly reccomended

Being used to playing guitar on Fender tweed tube amps I was not expecting to have much of a sound coming from the Cube street. I was nicely surprised and actually find myself often plugging into the Cube while practicing nowadays. Nice and warm sound, because it is not just a guitar amp the bass is rather full and warm but that goes with my style of music (bb-style blues). The effects are better than descent and I use those as well. Singing with a mic is good with a nice reverb option. Altogether I believe this Cube rocks and would easily recommend it. Don't go by my recommendation, just look around on street corners and youtube and you'll find out this little battery powered monster (I chose red) does what is was designed for and more than that. Enjoy if you decide to get one and rock on :)

Perfect for what it's designed for!
10.03.2016
The Roland Cube Street is designed to be a small, easily portable, PA for street musicians or simple live music by one or two players. With that in mind, I give it 5 stars.

Is the greatest sounding PA or amp ever? Nope. But it's not supposed to be. It is, however, a very good sounding, super-light, well built, cool looking (I bough the red model with the black cover), PA that runs on AC or...6 AA batteries!

For the size it's surprisingly loud. I handles vocals well - and includes reverb or delay for vox! That's a great feature.

The primary guitar/inst channel handles acoustics well, electrics sound decent, plenty good for simple street music that I use it for, and I've even run a bass guitar through it.

If you need a simple, portable, light-weight solution for 1-2 players, this is likely a great item for you.

Robust and well built
lovrenzoo, 02.12.2017
I am using it for busking around Berlin and it is great. Sounds good, it's more than loud enough in most situations and it is built it like a tank. It is really hard to damage it too(and that is very important if you are going to take it out on the streets). I dropped it twice by accident, and it still works and it looks perfect, nothing break inside, and there is nothing wrong cosmetically.
It's weight is acceptable too, but after a bit walking it gets kind of heavy. Overall it is an great amp, you should definitely check it out.
