A companion work and fun id al!

KristOphe, 30.09.2013
Full of features to choose from (live, midi file playback, mp3 playback, karaoke function with video output ...), sounds are good quality, with possibility of EQ, FX settings, numerous filters, Really customize each sound. Small flat: damage to have mixed the bank of bass sounds with that of electric guitars, a bit painful to make a choice in relation to the "exotic" names given.
Otherwise, good grip, intuitive at first, and in the advanced functions also provided you have a little habit in the field of expander, but nothing very nasty.
A good little machine for pleasure alone, but also in group because manipulations of change of sounds can be done quickly (in use without accompaniment, especially in the presence of a drummer and a bassist;)) , And creating performance lists on a usb key coupled with a foot pedal greatly facilitates manipulation.
In the end, good value for money given the various possibilities.

Roland Bk 7M "getting older"? or not ??

Andreas569, 07.10.2018
Hello, I use the Roland BK-7M with a midi accordion. I needed a "small, light, cheap and yet a good" automatic accompaniment machine. I stumbled over the "cheap" Roland and ordered the same. In the beginning I was a bit disappointed, because the operation is very complicated. Black and white display with rotary knob. Well, you can get along with exercise. Then there is the praised in the manual footswitch bar no longer. Only one other part with redirected cable. In the live mode somehow always missing one - two functions. Well, the Roland was released as I see it in 2008 and unfortunately not modernized. Sound technically he liked me. But still you have the feeling - touch screen would be nice too :-)
I ordered the same size and weight technically the same ketron sd40. (to test)
"He can do much more and service is better".
well:
Of course the sounds are fresher, especially the solosounds for right. And there are also very useful styles here.
But: so really convinced ??????? for the price ????
Many styles do not make sense of the variations. For example, Variation A has very little to do with B, etc.
Also, many styles are very overloaded.
Some write at the Roland he sounds "stale" or something.
People - The BK7M sounds like something "fat". The styles are reduced to the basics and really groove. That's really about "rhythm". Of course, that's subjective and a matter of taste. I mainly play with hits and party things. As others have mentioned, rock is not his thing --- but only because of the not sooo good guitar sounds. But the styles themselves sound very useful anyway. And nobody notices this in live mode.
I'm really in love with the Bk7M again and the Ketron is going back. The sounds for the right hand I take anyway from another sound module.
What is difficult - to buy new styles that are good. You have to work on it with the medieval service. But I take the trouble in purchasing. Because the part is really mega.
