Give's the 'body' that 5'' woofer lacks.
10.10.2016
I got this subwoofer to compliment eris E5's and must say that I don't regret buying it. I have a small room (about 2.5x3 m) where I use it and it fill's up the room without cranking the volume up loud.

What I was looking for was something to give 'body' to my speakers because they sounded vague to me. I love for the bass sound to be present, not loud. I hate boomy subwoofer's (logitech's THX crap like) and this is NOT one of them.

The setup was not that complicated (a bit of moving around the room, setting the gain volume etc.) you even have a manual for where you should place the subwoofer for certain sound reproduction. Once set up properly it will sound balanced on every song.

What I like most with this subwoofer is the clear sound it produces for the given price, the build quality is great, heavy like filling. The sound phase switch help's also, as it add's body to the sound.
A huge plus is that it is almost inaudible outside my room when I listen to it yet it fill's up the room very nicely.

Sound clarity A++++

Worth every penny.

A great 8" sub with more than enough power for home use.
JonN, 02.08.2015
I got this subwoofer to compliment my Equator D5s (best speaker in their price bracket by far, by the way) and it has been excellent.

It's rock-solidly built and reassuringly heavy. The isolation spikes come with rubber caps, that will protect hard/delicate flooring. Unfortunately, they fall off easily when moving the sub around, but really, how much to you move your sub around? Just put it in the desired position and then make sure all the feet are on and be careful if/when you reposition it.

I have the volume near the minimum, and it can go VERY loud, without distorting. With this sub (and others like it), you're far more likely to get distortion from poor room acoustics than from over-stressing the sub itself. I haven't even bothered to try putting it at max, partly because I value my ears and partly because I know I'll never need to listen at that volume for critical/studio use.

The active crossover is accurate (using audacity to produce frequency tests) precise. I personally have it at 80hz, since my speakers handle everything above that just fine.

All the other features, High-Pass, Phase Correction, etc. work perfectly and are incredibly useful.

All-in-all, I can't fault it for the price. Very impressed, particularly as I was expecting it to be a huge compromise for the price.

Good but
phil_p, 24.01.2018
I have a problem to say if its good or really good given that adjusting the bass level is a bit touchy. Too low , i can hear the drums in my belly. To high and they sound unreal. I am happy still but i should really compare with some alternatives to know is something better can be achived.
Still its worth buying to add some low end to my 2 Eris 5 monitors from presonus as well.

Betrifft tiefe Frequenzen....
Marjory, 18.09.2015

Man will ja ein neutrales Klangbild erreichen.
