Not for everyone I mean, but works wery effectivly
b.o.pako, 25.11.2020
I was disappointed at the first listening, but I don't know what I expected. It took me a while to get to know these monitors, and during the first mixes I got lost and dissatisfied. But then I tested my mixes on different sound systems and I didn't understand how good it sounded. Be prepared for a lot of music on these monitors to sound dry, but good work on these monitors excels. Also prepare for the noise problem, but this can be solved by resetting the DSP (pressing both DSPs (EQ buttoms) at the same time when turning on the monitors (when the presonus light is red)) I have them for a month and they start playing nicely and sound better than after the first play . I still hear a little noise on the monitors, but I think I can solve it with a conditioner. (later) but he's so quiet I don't mind at all.
very interesting sound on this price range
in short - uncompromising and far-sighted sound

Simply amazed
16.11.2014
I was a little unsure when I ordered these, not too many reviews available, but
. I am simply amazed at the clarity of these speakers, great detail without being forced, or hyped.
The stereo imaging is also very good, you can almost "feel" where the sound is. The bottom end feels solid and genuine.
Build quality is good and they look very great (love the illuminated logo!).
The eq controls and wide sweet spot make positioning very easy, and I no problem getting good results from my smallish room.
Early days still, but well worth considering if you are looking for well balanced, detailed monitors with good bass.
Oh,I nearly forgot........they go VERY loud!

Nice ones
18.01.2017
Using these in a project studio. Overall sound engineering experience - over 15 years. Monitoring experience: KRK V8 (old series), Tannoy Reveal Active, Event 20/20 v2 + ART SLA1, Fostex PM 0.5 mkII, Microlab SOLO 2

Pros:
Compared to Event 20/20 V2 passive + ART SLA1 amplifier, Sceptres have less aggressive and pronounced high frequences (which is good) and better low end.
Sweet spot is really big. Design is solid and durable (as far as I'm concerned).

Cons:
Gain knob has no notch at unity (very inconvinient)
Horisontal positioning is not recommended by manufacturer (less flexibility)
Pretty heavy and pricey (oh well)

Impressive image
Penguin0, 29.07.2020
Very nice response on lows although if you want to deal with sub freq get a sub.
Mids are on point as well and very pleasent to hear.
Highs are exceptionally revealing although I would lower them a bit.
Overall quite flat and impressive image, depth and detail.

The wood sounds a bit cheap and the plastic of the horn looks not super finish ( this is not a problem really) , the crystal reinforced woofer seems also not super shiny. nothing of this affect the sound just the looking.
