Absolutely compelling

22.02.2016
First of all let me say that I am by no means professional and was looking for good studiomonitors for my hobby studio. The past 10 years, I have produced my music under acoustically suboptimal conditions on Tannoy PBM 6.5II, thus with with little satisfactory results. Since finally also a reasonable space has found, in which it makes sense to produce more high-quality monitors began my search and the related study of test reports, listening comparisons, to research on the subject of space acoustics and and and ...
At first I thought I had found the right box with Adams F7. Until I heard her. In a comparison in a music business, Yamaha HS7 / HS8 flew out, as did KRK and Adams A5X. Presonus Eris E8 had not convinced me either. The result was the A7X of Adam, Neumann KH120A and Genelec M040 as a selection for a comparison at the Thomann House (thumbs up at this point by the way for the very good advice in the demonstration studio !!!) The newly released Presonus Eris E66 joined . To make it short, the Adam A7X, which was originally my favorite I liked in comparison to the other candidates least, Neumann and Genelec were the same, the Eris E66 just behind it. In the end, the price decided, because the E66 could convince me by a very linear and clear sound with a very nice stereo stage, a fairly wide sweetspot, which gives me enough scope for movement while working. It should be noted, however, that the set-up needs some space, since they need a little space in the horizontal variant. For the desktop, they are definitely nothing. The processing of the boxes is absolutely top, the boxes I like synonymous visually well. At the moment, I'm really discovering the Eris E66 music, and am wondering what, for example, at Pink Floyds Division Bell so everything is heard, and especially where. Conclusion: for me the Presonus E66 is a great Studiomonitor at an incredibly good price, which can be quite well with the Neumann, Adam and Co mentioned here.

Absolutely spectacular sound !!!

Uric, 09.06.2017
I own a professional studio and decided that it was a good idea to upgrade the studio monitors. These monitors are now the main pair in my studio.

Characteristics:

varied choice of inputs; XLR, 1/4 TRS balanced and RCA unbalanced.

Volume. Input Gain,
Acoustic tunning with Low cutoff selector up to 100Hz, acoustic space from 0db to -4db and Mid and High EQ. A tool that helps a lot to calibrate the monitors in the most varied types of room.

Sound: The sonorous resolution of these girls is incredible. Both bass, mid and treble are beautifully produced.
It is no surprise that these monitors begin to be used by numerous producers recognized worldwide.

As soon as I called them, I did some sound tests. There is nothing better than classical music, in particular, my favorite piece 1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky. It's like they're watching the orchestra playing in front of you!
And because it is an MTM (Mid-Tweer-Mid) monitor the Stereo field is superb.

Finishing: very good

Pros - Easy monitors calibration, spectacular sound, BRUTAL stereofield, very beautiful finish, quality / price

Cons - weighs 10 kg

Summary:
Will not be minimally disappointed

About me - I'm a Music Composer / Producer
