WOW!

Thomas W. 452, 17.06.2014
I run a professional mastering studio. As the main monitor I use the PSI A21, which I can only recommend to all. As a second monitor I bought the passive Avantone Mix Cubes and connected to a Behringer A500 (the only one with convection cooling in this price class). The sound was "cheap", just as I wanted it, since many consumers also have no better listening capability.
Now, however, the difference between the two pairs of speakers was too great for me. While the one is "Hi-End", the others are "Superbillig". That's why I was looking for something in the middle and decided to put a mid-range hi-fi loudspeaker to reproduce the sound in a living room. For this I needed again an Enstufe and decided to grab a bit deeper into the pocket. So I ordered the PAS power amplifier. Since the ordered Hi-Fi loudspeakers had delivery problems, I closed the mix cubes from the Jube to the PAS power amp.
When I heard the music, I was amazed by the little boobs and could not believe what sound was there. This output stage is so precise, one does not believe it. I now know why the passive mix cubes are so praised. You only need the right amplifier. The Hi-Fi boxes I now operate with the Behringer, but this will soon be exchanged with you know already which ...
It is not that I have no experience with power amplifiers. Be it in the PA area, in the Hi-Fi or in the studio area. But this power amplifier puts many large, expensive power amplifiers in the shade.
The only drawback is the size, respectively the depth of the plant. Since my rack is very full, I had to banish them for reasons of space under the Studiotisch. I would have gladly screwed it into the rack instead of the Behringer power amplifier. However, the PAS power amplifier is too low and already laid cables prevented installation. I like the blue of the power amp very much. Anyway better than the many gray competitors.

Null marketing but great sound

MD aus AC, 16.07.2017
I've been looking for a power amplifier for private use. In the meantime, I wanted to buy a full amplifier in the 2000 ¤ class. In a HiFi shop I was then presented a device for 1800 ¤, which was in the relevant media for good evaluation. I found the Dynmamik not bad, but the voices, which could be my Spartan, undogmatic Vorendkombi for 650 ¤ better. On my demand, which I would have to spend, in order to be really satisfied, I was told: at least 3000 ¤. That may be true for the hi-fi range, I had a New Zealand full amplifier with MOSFETs for 3100 ¤ heard, which I had really liked. But 3100 ¤?
So I ordered the PAS and full expectation of my tube headphones with pre-amplifier output connected - and that sounded really good. Then the headphone amplifier against a Berlin preamp from the studio area for 1000 ¤ exchanged. The combi is for me. No matter what RCA cable, which pickup, what DAC, - the PAS simply extends the differences and covers nothing. Coarse and enemy dynamics are very good, the stereo stage is good to very good. Tonal rather settled on the warm side than on the dug-roasted side, with no details to be underlined or the bass softened, there might still be more hif-better machines out there. I do not need these devices. I also like the blue front.
In short: clear purchase recommendation (and I have already heard a lot - also clearly more expensive) from my side. The short delivery time and great packaging from Thomann were also top.
