NP2 C review
14.07.2014
I first started using these as soon as they came out many years ago.
They are a great jack which has improved over the years.
The original model had an issue with solderability which was resolved in due course. This was I believe caused by the alloy used in the original manufacturing.

No such problems now, they tin very easily as long as you use a reasonably well powered iron, very small solder tips are not recommended due to the amount of heat required to transfer to the connector when tinning and jointing.

Be sure to place strain relief and clamp on the cable before soldering! not doing so can lead to much frustration and the use of bad language!

For most cable sizes (such as normal 6mm guitar cable) break of the small semi circular part at the front of the clamp. This only needs to be in place for very thin cable, but then you already knew that didn't you? :-0

Solid and Durable Audio Connector by Neutrik
The Dragon, 14.03.2018
Use:
I bought this Neutrik connector to build custom audio cables for my studio.

Pros:
The connector is of the highest quality and meets a professional standard. It feels solid and durable when connecting various audio equipment.

Cons:
The plastic cable locking system requires some customizing when used with a thicker shielded audio wire.

Conclusions:
There is a drastic difference in quality between custom audio cables made with Neutrik connectors, and other lower quality, cheap cables I have previously owned. This connector has stood the test of time and has not failed to date. I consider it a studio essential and has saved me money in the long term, as I no longer have to replace or repair cables.

Lifetime jack
Ivan Orlov, 04.01.2020
I use Neutrick products for 20+ years and was never disappointed. Little bit pricy compared to alternatives but definitely worth money. And i do enjoy when i solder my cables using Neutrick jacks which is not that enjoyable with other brands.

Good Quality, No Hassle
Ka5par, 18.05.2017
I've settled on the Neutrik plugs because they are easy to assemble, look nice and are dependable, provided that you know what you're doing when soldering.

The solder sticks great on the connectors. There's a clever solution for clamping for different size cables, so that you don't break the wires when handling them.

Recommend investing on your connections.
