Very good MIDI keyboard
LasseRosendahl 23.02.2019
I bought this MIDI-keyboard because I wanted something with enough options in terms of controlling my DAW and plugins, something to write small melodies and something that would fit neatly under my desk as well.

The keyboard comes with number of great features and is easy to setup. My computer recognized it instantly and I had no problem with it communicating with Reaper. I use it mainly as a controller and for initial songwriting ideas but the 8 drumpads are especially nice when used with MIDI drums like Superior Drummmer. It makes it easy to quickly play and record beats.

Also, the ability to call up you mix window, the knobs latch function and the quality of the keys themselves has made this a stable in my studio, still small enough to carry it with me when I am on the road.

I have used this almost every day since I bought it and I love it. If you want greater flexibility when playing keyboard I would recommend buying something bigger but if you just want a compact solution that would fit in any studio, this would be it.

Great quality, nice features and works with all DAWs.

Excellent value for money!

I must say, I never planned to buy a small midi controller such as this, but it happened I needed one and went for this. Why? It's so easy to setup with any DAW that you just plug it in and start playing. It has every command you would need to shape your synth sound in no time, and the trigger pads are a sweet surprise to the whole package.
I would recommend the Nektar for everyone on a budget looking for a small and compact synth-action controller for studio and, I suppose, even live situations.

No complaints at this price!

I like this midi controller a lot. I use it with Logic Pro x. I have had no issues with it. Very easy to use and easy to setup with Logic. Great for somebody on a budget. Very compact size but has a wide array of options and features. Highly recommended!

Other than the size and lack of after touch there is not much I could dislike about this keyboard. It has everything you need, it easily integrates everywhere. You can customize everything.

Just what I needed
Mick from Belfast 29.08.2020
Got this for usage with home studio. Integration with Reaper worked exactly as I wanted it to without any glitches, having followed the various instructions to make this happen.

Keys a little light, but at £80 you can't really complain. Pads ok, perhaps a little too much resistance. Personally I prefer to use the keys for drum beats, others may have a different preference.

Very useful to be able to use this as a portable alternative to my larger midi boards, it's very light and easy to carry around.

This is a perfect Midi Controller
critic-al 09.03.2021
This was so easy to set up and get writing with. The pads are a lifesaver and the transport controls are super convenient. The keys are not fully weighted but perfect for writing/laying down midi parts in the studio. When live music becomes a thing again, I do hope to use it live too.

You wont find a better controller for the price.

One of the best in its price range
greedymind 16.02.2022
I was looking for a compact, two-octave bus-powered MIDI keyboard with velocity layers and DAW controls. This one ticks all the boxes for me and has impressive build quality, especially considering its price range.
Pros:
+ LX25+ perfectly integrates with all major DAWs, in my case it's Reaper. Now I can control the most important DAW options (play, record, switching tracks etc.) using LX25+ dedicated knobs, which makes arranging and mixing incredibly fast and intuitive. It also has a very good fader, so I can do volume automation with ease.
+ Build quality of LX25+ is awesome for this price range. All knobs and controls are quite sturdy.
+ Full-sized keyboard.
Cons
- Keys themselves could've been better quality, but it's not a big deal. Overall they are quite responsive and with velocity layers.
All in all, I think it's one of the best two-octave MIDI keyboards out there. It made my recording, arranging and mixing a lot easier and more fun.

"Adaptations to all common DAWs including Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Reason, Bitwig and others"...
nuc_64 18.05.2023
...where "others" explicitly excludes Ableton on launch day.
Not a problem, but the deep integration work done for Bitwig, contrasted with this complete lack of similar effort for Ableton did leave a bit of a sour taste.

Other than that, it's a plasticky little keyboard without aftertouch, but with a very serviceable 2x4 grid of drumpads.
The keys and knobs are also of acceptable quality - this is a wee little controller that you toss into your backpack, and it's delivering quite a bit of value for what it does.

I have had to remove and recondition the pitch and mod wheels, as the plastic had become sticky and grimy - as I understand it, the plastic softeners used by the manufacturer are to blame, as they degrade over time.

A decent entry-level controller
Anonymous 10.02.2017
Overall you get great value for your money. The controller has all the essentials, the only thing I would want it to have is more inputs/outputs (for other MIDI stuff). The quality is good for the price, except some very minor details like the keys not being perfectly aligned, so that some of them are higher than others. If you want something cheap to start with, but not just throw your money away, it's perfect.

Nektar Impact LX25+

A sturdy and excellent 25 keys keyboard. Although it is not fully compatible with Ableton Live that I work with, it is supported by many other DAW Softwares such as Logic on Apple. It feels great and you can assign via MIDI each an every rotary button or pad. It worths any penny.
