The Perfect Bag.

Z1 used here, got the bag in order to protect my Z1 from touring and travelling in general.

Money well spend i might say, since it is especially designed for protection of the controller and offers many nice and usefull details.

More specifically i love the zipless seal, with the velco strap.

Makes packign and unpacking much faster without compromising on the protection.

Also the fact that you can use the bag as a stand during mixing gives it some extra points as well;

The design is absolutely killer and the size is perfect for a small backpack.

Transition from digital vinyl to controller

In 2012 I decided not only to change from Serato Scratch to using a controller but also to change software as well. Converting to Traktor was the best move I ever made. This for me is going to be a long thought out process, because I am in eventually going to use one of the Xone series of mixers so familiarity and functionality are really important to be as controller virgin. There is no better palce to start than the X1. To begin with its size and shape let it fit snuggly beside the mixer between the turntable or cdj in that particular instance. It comes as plug and play but the functionality can be tweeked in midi mode to suit you. It has a very ergonomic layout with plenty of room for fingers to use the buttons and pots. It has very pleasing coloured buttons for dark installations and dont strain the eyes. It is a multi functional device that gives added control to your mixes whether its used a standalone or with turntables or cdj's. It may a little time for any newbies to get used to, but the X1 gives actions like track browsing, looping, effects and cue points a much more instinctual, hands-on feel in addition to making them way more convenient. in short if you use Traktor, then the X1 will help you add another dimension to your mixes and help with your individual style, which in my opinion is needed in todays market.
