The smallest and most convenient professional console
Michael710, 15.05.2015
Why Midas Pro 1? For the same money, there are also Yamaha consoles (QL-1), or models for Soundcraft (SI series), Behringer / Midas (X and M32), Allen & Heath (QU series) and Presonus .
Quite simply, none of the other consoles sounds as good as the Pro 1. I am really not a "voodoo sound laberer", but very pragmatic, because I believe that there are often more important and important building sites than the choice between The mid-range consoles available on the market. All the consoles have their pros and cons, but the Midas falls out of the frame in blind comparison. It sounds more powerful and saturated in the low-end and more transparent in medium and high tones. In addition I see on the DSP side opposite the other mentioned consoles the fewest restrictions as regards channelprocessing or routing possibilities. It is all there is, which one also from the large Pro-Pulten also knows. Since I work for various companies, I have worked often enough with the aforementioned Pro consoles such as Soundcraft VI, A & H iLive, Avid Venue, etc., to be able to judge.
Here are a few more points, why I have gradually excluded the other manufacturers <10kEUR:

Presonus: Not riderentuglich, rather "beginner-oriented" and simple kept as regards routing and processing possibilities, besides, no storable Gains and no Motorfader ....

Soundcraft SI: Operation over the small display ok, but little clear. Effects sound good, but only 4 dedicated effect paths and in channel EQ no change to fully parametric high and low band ...

Midas M32 or Behringer X32: First everything I wanted and sounds good. In the Midas version also good haptics and hopefully long-lasting, but you can choose input patching everything only as 8-blocks. So times fast between channel 3 and 5 the input 17 is not reinfecht .... So I imagine me no professional desk.

The Pro 1, on the other hand, can do all this, and much more. Enziger Wehrmutstropfen: For the recording you have to increase the expensive DN9650 + Dante or Madi module. But how is it so beautiful: Who wants with the big shit ** n ... nevertheless it would be with me around a hair an M32R ....

With the DN9650 network bridge, the Midas system can also be easily integrated into existing FOH and monitoring systems with eg Madi.

Small addition: Also with the "Install-Pack" is a keyboard (QWERTY) thereby - and makes synonymous with the setup synonymous.

I'm excited!
Guillaume aus L., 23.02.2015
I chose the PRO-1 after many considerations. Application: Live application for own band. Top processing, great sound and incredible flexibility (patching). Not suitable for beginners. DN9650 interface to Dante / Madi etc. necessary for recording. Also my old DM2000 in the studio will soon replace. I'm excited!
