Watch out, there's a storm coming!

Mapex's entry-level "Tornado" series will cause quite a stir in the rehearsal room. The Tornado Studio Zildjian Set is equipped with everything a beginner needs to really get started. Five chic-looking black basswood shells, a complete hardware set, and Zildjian cymbals from the Planet-Z series create a fully-fledged beginner's drum set at a top price. The sound and workmanship of the drum set are entirely true to the name of the two renowned manufacturers. The Mapex Tornado Studio Zildjian Set is thus a perfect point of entry into the wide world of drumming.

Mapex shells and Zildjian cymbals

A 20" x 16" bass drum paired with 10" x 8", 12" x 9", and 14" x 14" toms and a 14" x 05" snare drum: All of this makes up the Tornado Studio Zildjian Set. The 7.2 mm thick basswood shells are cleanly processed, which results in an appealing sound. In addition, the Zildjian cymbals of the Planet Z series not only match the five-piece Mapex shell set visually, but also fit ideally in terms of sound. Overall, the quality of the shells as well as the cymbals and the hardware promises long-lasting playing fun.

A complete set for beginners

Cymbal, hi-hat, and snare stands, foot pedal and drum stool, plus Zildjian-brand cymbals and a cleanly crafted Mapex shell set made of basswood: That is the Tornado Studio Zildjian Set, ideally suited to every beginner who wants to go about it properly right from the get-go. The attractive price-performance ratio also makes this complete set equally interesting for individuals as well as for didactic institutions. Furthermore, the various hardware parts can be easily adjusted individually thanks to a large number of setting options.

Great kit
Vaidelis 19.11.2019
i wouldn't agree that this is a drum-kit for beginners, I am advanced drummer and i bought this kit. Super happy about it.
Drum shells are in good quality, drum heads is REMO so it's good also. If you tune them right - they will sound perfect.
Hardware is strong and feels stable and finally Zildjan cymbals are great as well. (especially ride).
So if you are advanced drummer and don't have a lot of money - this is perfect choice.

T
Good beginner drumset!
Tio78 18.04.2022
Drum hardware could be better. For begginer drummers it might be hard to tune it right because of the rough threads on some screws it is hard to feel the tension, but I did it so you can too! Besides hardware, the set is amazing. I have been playing for quite some time now on this set and it performs how normal drums should. No problems at all.
The next thing I would like to upgrade is the hi-hat stand. The build quality is accurate for the drum set price, but not for my liking.
Overall - if you are thinking about this set, I recommend it!
P.S. the zildjian cymbals are great!

Really good starter Set even if you don't have a lot of space
Frenz.smk 07.10.2020
The Bass Drum isn't very big, but it sounds really fatty once that you have tuned it. The Zildjan Set is the best part imo. Very clear sound, I'm pretty satisfied
