Awesome mic system

07.06.2016
In our country lot of military activities in cities, so most of the mic s pics up signals from their radio comms and starts giving feedback or possible signal jam,

but with this line 06 digital mic that problem is not there , and it never picks up any unwanted signals and sound clarity is really amazing, and you can use 05 channels without getting frequencies mix

Super radio with high functionality and sensational sound

Dantschge, 28.04.2012
The Line6 XD-V75L radio is my first attempt at radio transmission of audio signals. After studying the manual, I was able to set up the radio circuit in a few minutes and configure it for my needs. First, the output level was very low until I discovered that the receiver's internal output level control was factory-preset to -18 dB. After correcting this setting to 0dB, the radio path provided an identical level in a direct comparison with an exclusive cable solution. The scan function is also nice to be able to select the most favorable channel with the fewest possible disturbances depending on the environment. The designation of the transmitter helps in the assignment of several parallel operated radio links.

The display on the display of transmitter and receiver constantly provides all important information about the condition of the radio link, the signal level and the battery level of the transmitter. It is even a (roughly) estimated remaining operating time of the battery or the accumulators in the transmitter, the during the ongoing concert for me most important information. To extend the battery life, the transmitter can be set to a lower transmit power. In this setting I have already played three evenings (about 3-4 hours each) and the first battery pack (2300 mAh) is still displayed with 5 hours remaining time.

The housings of transmitter and receiver are robust (the transmitter is made of metal) and have a long life expectancy. The processing is outstanding and the included accessories incl. Mounting material for different rack mounting solutions is comprehensive and does not cost anything in comparison to other manufacturers.

The Lavalier microphone I have because of the relatively small price difference opposite the pure transmitter / receiver version gladly taken. The Lavalier microphone has a clean sound and provides sufficient levels for simple sound solutions at relatively low PA or monitor levels. For the singing use in the band, however, I would prefer a headset or the appropriate handsensic microphone, as these allow significantly higher stage and PA volume, than the Lavaliermicrophone.

The range of the radio range is certainly sufficient for normal stage use. The massive brick walls in my apartment could penetrate the transmitter even with reduced transmission power and also in the samples I could move freely in the rehearsal room (about 20x30m), without interference (with also reduced transmission power).

In terms of sound, the radio circuit is sublime, which I could only imagine. In the case of a direct listening comparison between the radio path and the directly connected clip microphone (on the contrabass) or the instrument (7-string fretless electric bass), I could not detect any audible differences. Both the frequency response and the dynamics are completely unaffected at the receiver so that a quick changeover between the radio path and the direct cable connection is possible without further adjustment of the level on the mixing console. This helps me, for example, when I use the radio track during the soundcheck to go into the audience with my double bass, to control the sound of the mixer settings and then play cable-bound during the concert. Seen from a sound point of view, the radio track can be used without restriction even for studio use or for live recordings.

The extremely low latency of less than 3 ms corresponds to a hearing distance to the box of less than 1 meter, which for me is not perceived as a delay or was not perceived as disturbing.

Today I measured the frequency response of the radio track still coarse with my frequency generator (sine wave) and the following: The lower limit of the frequency response is still significantly below the specified 10 Hz. Up to 2 Hz down I compared to the direct signal a level deviation of max. -3 dB. This -3 dB zone goes up to approx. 5 Hz. From there, the signal of the radio link is reproduced with the same level as the direct signal. So do not be afraid for 5-string bassists, from 5 Hz the full offer is transferred. In this case, an identical level to the direct signal is to be reported up to approx. 18 kHz until, finally, between approx. 18 and 20 kHz, a lowering of the level of the radio path by max. -3 dB, which can also be derived from the cable. Higher than 20 kHz I could not go with my frequency generator. But that would probably be more theoretical, because acoustically interesting. In terms of sound, the determined frequency response drops are not noticeable since they are too small to be acoustically effective.

The device software is updated via the Line6 program Monkey, which is constantly updated. While the firmware update of the receiver, which is directly connected via USB to the computer, works without problems, the firmware update of a transmitter (transmitter / micro) is somewhat tricky, because you do not know exactly how to do this the first time And does not recognize (until the first time really works, the AHA effect), whether the contact between sender and receiver is already established in the configuration mode at all. This could be more user-friendly, eg by means of clearer status displays on the devices or on the computer. But this is just a side problem.

The Line6 XD-V75L radio range is highly recommended for anyone who places great emphasis on the unaltered playback of his instrument or voice, while still providing high functionality and reliability.

Briefly to the battery / accumulator problem in the transmitter: By the use of a pocket knife, I have a commercially available Ni-MH battery removed the complete plastic protective cover, which does not break the function of the battery. Thus, the battery fits easily into the one, somewhat scarce battery bay of the transmitter, while in the other battery bay a normal battery with case has easy space. It is also possible to use standard Mignon batteries (eg 2300 mAh), which last approximately 8 hours in the energy-saving mode.
