First Owned Ukulele
Kevin Lyons , 21.04.2019
I was looking online for a better than average beginner Ukulele. I narrowed it down to two different instruments and settled with the Lanikai. It got great reviews on other websites and videos, so I went to Thomann to pick one up. Unfortunately, there was not a demo item to play. Because of the high reviews online, I bought it and brought it home. At first opening, it is a beautifully made Uke. The craftsmanship is evident in all aspects. The body, neck, head and tuners are all quality. Because this is my first Uke, I have to say I really can't compare its sound quality to any other. For me, it is rich, twangy, and has a long reverb. It took about three days for the strings to finally stay in tune and now I don't have to tune it. It's a wonderful Uke for a beginner and I am having a wonderful time playing it. I recommend it for anyone wanting a quality instrument without breaking the bank. As has been said by many others; If your Uke or any other instrument sounds terrible, you probably won't want to play it and will put it away or sell it. Great instrument and great service from Thomann.

Can't fault it
Mike47, 11.08.2019
I am a guitar and banjo player in a band and fancied a ukelele for a bit of fun. This was in my price range but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality - especially the fact that it tunes easily and stays in tune. Would recommend.

Often underestimated and thought of only as a holiday instrument, the ukulele is experiencing a revival - and by no means only on Hawaii
