Fits a Microsoft Surface Pro 4
E Madsen 09.10.2020
I got this for putting my Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (with keyboard removed) on a stand and it works well in most situations. It allows quick rotation from landscape to portrait though doesn't hold rotated position in between particularly well. The pivot joint is quite solid and doesn't slip under the weight of the tablet, however, it only allows 90 degrees of motion in one direction which is often not helpful for positioning. The combined weight of this and the Surface is too much for this to go on the boom arm of a K&M mic stand without the arm slipping, which limits possible positioning. However, for a lighter tablet this might not be a problem. It seems to work better in combination with rigid microphone stand attachments such as K&M 238 Mikrofon Support Rail in this regard.

C
Best all-round tablet holder
Chris4195 16.02.2014
When you use an iPad on stage often you need a sturdy companion to hold it safely. I have tried different models before this one. So, when I decided to switch from the iPad 2 to a iPad mini, I wanted something more all-purpose. Especially since I often have a cover on my iPad, I didn't want to have to remove the cover before placing it in a stand (everybody knows how quickly those iPads get scratched when removing covers). So, after owning a cheap all-purpose stand that felt like it could break an moment, I decided to go for the proven quality of K&M. And this stand is perfect if you are looking for something sturdy and variable enough to hold different types of tablets.
If that's what you are looking for, then this is the one to get. I took off one star for stability, because the holding part is plastic and may break if it takes a beating. The joint and side retainer are rock solid though.

A
Great for K&M Spider keyboards with 18873
Anonymous 17.10.2016
I got this in combination with the K&M 18873 universal holder to add to my Spider pro keyboard stand. This enables me to have my setlists displayed on my 8.3 inch tablet and securely attach it directly onto the Spider pro. It's continuously adjustment for height. As with all K&M products it's built very well. Personally been using this for around 2 years on around 25 gigs and its always worked and nothing has broken off. If you play keyboards and have a Spider, Spider pro or baby Spider pro and want to view either sheet music, chord notation or setlists on your tablet (or use your tablet to control keyboard parameters), definitely check out this combination - note you need both to attach to your spider keyboard stand.

LT
Easy to use and secure
Lawrence T. 06.10.2016
Assembly takes a few minutes as tablet holder grips and location bars are universal - so adjustments need to be made to fit the tablet size in use. Spring pressure on the "claw" needs to be enough to hold tablet in place but not so much that it is difficult to locate the tablet in position. Mounting bracket can be set to avoid power button, volume control etc.. Have used it mounted on straight mic stand and a boom arm stand which needs extra care due to the weight of tablet and how far the boom is extended. If it broke I would buy another one without hesitation. K&M items always good quality but never cheap.
