Clear As day!
Rocky NZ, 31.05.2013
This has been a great addition to me when I play on a stage that has uneven light.
I have used it with batteries (and it has a compartment to keep spares in) - but for longer shows I connect a DC supply to the available socket. Both options work well for me. The lamp simply folds away in my gear bag. A nice product.

Experience report K & M Starlight mini
Mirko R., 20.10.2009
I am a satisfied owner of the K & M Starlight mini since 04.06.09.
I have been playing orchestras for many years and have already seen almost all the possible pillar lights. The following problems often occur with others (especially light bulb versions): Often these are self-adjusting due to poor construction / weight, or even the head of the music desk can move under the load of the luminaire in such a way that the notes fall from the desk , The right-expensive light bulbs burn not infrequently (both are conceivably bad during an appearance). Even if a light bulb is ready to hand, it can not be changed immediately because it is still very hot. If you forget to unplug the luminaire, you can also risk an electric shock in the hustle and bustle of the bulb change. In a large orchestra, many triple plug connectors have to be installed, which costs time, money and space. In addition, the cables cause tripping.

This can now be concluded: None of the above points applies to this great luminaire. At first I was very skeptical, whether they can illuminate two DIN-A4 sheets evenly and bright enough. It's easy! It makes an incredibly even, white and bright light. Despite its plastic construction, it is robust. As described above, the weight reduction by the plastic is absolutely useful here. Also, the luminaire is very light and easy to adjust. A green or red light on the head indicates whether the batteries are weak. In case of a theft, I would immediately order a new one.
