Great for the price

I use this to mic up acoustic guitars and amplifiers to get two lines in for mixing but also to avoid phase issues. I use it mostly with two pairs of microphones: Røde MP5 and Sennheiser e835.
It does it's job very well. With this price point it is close to being a no brainer.

Why only 4 stars for quality?
I have noticed that the screws do loosen every now and again when moving it back and forth, and I don't know if i would trust it with heavy, large frame microphones.

Does what it needs to do - without fuss

This is a very simple - no nonsense item, where K&H delivers on a simple promise: a piece of solid metal that you can use to position a stereo pair of microphones. I used these with a pair of very small SDC-s (CM4), but I'm sure it would have worked with anything similar. My only complaint is that you have to tighten the screws quite a lot to make the mikes stay where you want them to and this might leave visible marks/scratches on the surface of the bar.

I did actually return this item, but it was because of the microphones, NOT the stereo bar - which I would recommend to anyone, especially if portability is an issue (it's light and strong).

Reliable

I bought a pair of a random stereo bar from a local music store and it sucks. Please stick with the K&M when it comes to accessories. Reliable, easy to use, reasonable price.

Well Made, Decent Design
gaonick 04.01.2018
This bar works as you would expect and is very solidly made. It was also reasonably priced, unlike the exorbitantly expensive Rode version, which had the advantage of angle markings for different stereo recording techniques. The design is reasonable for the price, although I feel like there must be a better design out there somewhere that clips in place rather than having to screw things and have them come loose if the cables come under pressure from a reflection shield or any other object close to the mics. This is certainly not a big issue at this very reasonable price, however.
