High level.

I've always played almost only Ibanez electric guitars. Beginning with a Gio and I have since ever since price increased more and more. I especially liked the RGA models. I have never understood why not all the world is flying on these beautiful guitars and they have even slipped out of the assortment.

When the RGAIX saw the light of the world, the old RGA fever came back to me. Man, looks the cool! In the demo videos she sounded very well and versatile. So I ordered one, and although I do not really "need" it.

Rating:

APPEARANCE: Real Hammer! Wonderful blanket, matte lacquer, great ebony fretboard, absolutely cool form (slim as a Supermodel).

PROCESSING: Hm ... this is such a topic. Mine is outwardly hardly to complain about, perhaps a few tiny uncleanies at the neck binding. But I've already had another one in my fingers (not from Thomann), which was produced very sloppy.
What I noticed yesterday was really annoying: the polepiece of my bridge pickup for the deep E-string is not so under string, but almost completely beside it. The sound is not noticeable to me so far. I will measure times, whether the pickup is at all F-spaced, or whether possibly the wrong was installed.

EQUIPMENT: As already advertised by Ibanez, this is a guitar without many frills. Tone-Poti..No ... Tremolo ... No, but I personally like exactly that. Simple and deadly.
To mention are the Gotoh-Locking-Tuners. They do a solid job. And, of course, very useful: The coil-tap-switch.

GAME FEEL: This is really cool, as I think. The Gibraltar Bridge is accustomed to class, the neck provides a super natural feeling and is very fast. Playability I can imagine difficult to imagine, but has no serious comparison to the prestige models. Absolutely cool I find the varnishing of the maple ceiling ... This is so filigree, that one has an absolutely pleasant natural feeling. No sticking, no friction. Really great.

SOUND: The sound depends on many factors. It is undisputed for me that this guitar sounds very good. Distortions of all kinds are very welcome. Bold, still defined sound. Singing leads, very high output (noise gate, friends!), Great sustain. Even clean you need nothing to fear. Through the coil-tap-switch you have very full, warm, but also very bright, percussive sounds to choose from. So in short: satisfied to very satisfied, I would like to hear the guitar, however, very much with the Prestige-Kombi AIR NORTON - TONEZONE. This could become immortal.

CONCLUSION: You're not all your money in luxury guitars, but you want it not to notice? Here you could have the solution. An absolutely high-quality guitar at a three-digit price.

A good sound but cevantes finishes

26.12.2016
Hello,
A sound impeccable according to my son but small disappointment on the quality of the finish especially the level of the fitting and "burr" paint (light) on the top of the neck. For a guitar to 800¤ is a shame To miss the 20/20 for paint finishes and cutting.
