Nice 335 Alternative
Carlos Teh Jackal 09.02.2022
This is a beautifully finished guitar with an eye-catching look. It has lovely sweet tones that lend themselves well to jazz or blues, but will also take a little overdrive for a bit more bite. The best tones come when both pick-ups are selected and it is actually quite versatile, I've been using this for blues/rock.

The fit and finish are excellent. The tuners are precise and don't slip, the bridge and stop tailpiece are high quality, the control knobs have a great tactile feel and the guitar is beautifully finished with no flaws that I can find. The pictures do not do justice to how good this thing looks. The fretwork is nicely done with no sharp edges and is well finished. It came pretty well set up, I only had to do a little work to fit my preferred set-up. The neck is slightly fatter than I normally like. That is my only real gripe, but that's just my preference and I still love this guitar.

Its a nice guitar for the money
Mark7429 07.05.2019
The guitar is well made for a guitar at this price point. Its not going to blow your mind. As with most guitars in this price range, it needs a little set up, intonation etc. I set it up with 11 gauge strings and replaced the nut with a graphteq one. WIth the appropriate nut filing the intonation at the low end of the neck was improved. Frets could do with a little polishing. Electronics are fine, though the odd little bit of scratchiness in pots.
Overall, out of the box its a 2.5 or 3. Add in a little work on setup and it creeps higher towards 3.5 or 4, though probably not all the way.

Incredible value
JSDe 14.04.2021
This guitar is incredible for its price.

It sounds amazing, feels really good, and looks awesome.

A student of mine has a 3000€ Gibson ES-335 ; I won't say this one is better, but it is a matter of taste. Which is incredible for a guitar a tenth of the price.

The neck pick-up sounds gorgeous and mellow, and by adding a little bit of bridge pup you get a great variaty of sounds. Like most of those guitars, the bridge pick-up by itself is a little dry. But mixed, they sound great.

The neck is leaning on the large side. Not too large, but clearly not a lean, fast, fender-type neck. Nothing to say about the fretwork.

The features are what you'd expect from a Gibson inspired guitar. No surprise here.

The set-up was good upon delivery ; great job by the Thomann team, as usual.
