Parlour with great features and excellent value for money
Marlon_boy 22.11.2020
On opening I had mixed feelings, the guitar was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition and exactly when promised, many thanks to Thomann for that again.
The guitar is very well constructed and finished, frets dressed and cleanly finished, nut well set and perfectly cut, all the joints clean, no filler anywhere.
The mahogany back and sides very plain grained, the shaded solid top having a little bit of flaming, but nothing special. I was underwhelmed by the satin finish, very flat and dull, slightly letting down the overall presentation, but I guess that for the price you get a solid top, good construction and a playable instrument in a niche design area.
The bridge saddle was set initially little high, and I’ve shaved off a couple of millimetres and now it’s very playable, the short scale makes lower tension so string bending is very available. Intonation is pretty good.
The tuners I’m not too keen on, a bit bright and shiny and slightly out of character for this style of guitar, I’ll probably end up upgrading there!
Fishman pickup is very good, built in tuner is a boon, sounds fine through acoustic amp, quite authentic.
Having played it for a couple of days, I am overall pleased with it, will value it as useful guitar to keep around, plug in for JamKazam sessions, also it will be good for travel (whenever we are able to post Covid in the years to come)
Brilliant value for money!

I must admit that i am usually sceptical about reviews concerning music instruments because people do not
hear sounds in one particular way or do not have a trained ear at all.But since I am a lefty (and on a budget) I thought I should give CLP-15 a try..I am glad I did so!This is a small baby with a huge,,rich sound!Ideal for delta bluesy fingerpicking and folk music, ballads etc.Good intonation,no buzzes or false tones. This guitar is a great deal.I love it when goods are reasonably priced, this one costs even less than true value.

Really blown away by the quality.

This guitar easily exceeded my expectations. The build quality and the finish are considerably better than I had anticipated. Plays, sounds, and looks like a professional guitar. I just love this thing.

Great guitar for fingerpicking/Travis style
Full marks also too Thomann for the nice setup, no need to do anything to the action.

Absolute Bargain!
