Stitchings came loose after 3 months (twice!)

I was looking for a gig bag to transport my bass for rehearsals, gigs etc. I have a regular Jazz Bass, nothing fancy or very heavy.
On my first bag, one of the backpack straps came loose after 3-4 months. I sent the bag back to Thomann, they sent me a new one.
Cautious not to destroy the weak backpack straps again, I started to use the regular hand grip on the side, more than the backpack straps. After 3-4 months, the stitchings near the hand grip started to tear loose.

I am very disappointed in this bag, and in Gator. I simply can't believe that this bag doesn't seem to be able to do what it was made for: to carry a bass guitar.

Luckily Thomann gave me a good customer service. But Gator... I'm sorry, I won't buy something new from you guys very soon.

I bought this bag for my Fender Bass VI, which it fits very well. It has a thick padding that protects the bass well. Zippers seem to be of good quality too.

I would have preferred metal connectors for the back straps instead of plastic ones, but these seem to work fine. It's probably more of a mental thing ;)

I'm not much of a fan of the G-hook buckle to hold the pocket flap in place, but that's a minor issue. When carrying the bag as a backpack there's no need to hold the flap in place anyway.
