egg-laying woolen milk

Markus968, 30.09.2017
actually I do not like Strats - and already not at all in this sterile hospital white .: the Potis are always in the way and separated from the function nonsensically. Constantly one docks at the volume potentiometer and the 3 one-winders do not sound soo particularly different. And the dent actually provided for the abdomen is misshapen on the chest.
But since with hardly any other model the deep positions with the left hand without great contortions are to be grasped (which is on the very far left lying belt pin lies a fact, which is paid too little attention in Ergonomiefragen IMHO) I am then nevertheless at the Geoff Whitehorn remained stuck because it was unlike the Fender originals
? an ever-uncertain user offers an incomparable selection of TA combinations
? optically quite original from the original
? no cramped traditions as a self-purpose
The? Tremolo? is completely stable in both directions, the attachment with a screw is more practical than the usual thread versions. As the model is supplied with 10-string strings instead of the usual toy-threads, the string change and the adjustment of the perfectly adjusted vibrators are not necessary. The lever remains reliably where you let it go, and not where the gravity makes you dangle. After taming the unintentional volume adjustment at the upper pot with a beer bottle, could I gradually remove my original Strat-Aversionen? especially as I was only pleasantly surprised in the further course and the white in combination with the dashboard in genuinicht not so sterile. Nice also the cable sockets, which like in the case of real guitars is let into the frame from below and does not bring even more confusion on the traditionally untrained Strat surface. My angle plug I can therefore continue to use.
Except for the varnishing (the shine of the two halves of the wood shines through), the processing is top: the octave purity fits, the frets are faultlessly trimmed. The Jumbo frets are fast becoming accustomed, the relatively flat handlebar (10? -radius) was also an important reason for the purchase (Slide).
The pickup is unique: humbucker on the bridge, single coil in the middle and P90 on the neck. And they can be combined not only in the usual 5-way mode, but also offer additional sound colors by means of 2 pushing potentiometers: the humbucker splits (and splits with the neighbors!) With the lower one Neck- with the bridge-PU or all 3 pickups with each other. If I have correctly counted, the 11 (in words: eleven!) Pickup combinations, from which, according to my first hearing impressions at least 9 also audibly distinguish.
For this review to end, I want to limit myself to the first outstanding sounds? I still have a lot to try:
? the humbucker would be for me the first choice for creamy mid-load, but still transparent solos with sustain. Clean, on the other hand, is a disappointment: tin-coated colorless medium-wave radio, without ups and downs.
? My favorite in the clean area is the combination of the very warm sounding P90 in combination with its neighbors. This has a bit of Archtop and really does not really sound like Strat. Also solo makes the P 90 a good figure, but then I take something out the basses, because he sounds a little dumb
? classic strat-sound brings the one-coil: cleane mids and highs with silky basses and neat Nöck or halt the screeching sawing sound, which one from a Strat expected. The split humbucker makes this similar but slightly thinner and more fragile.
The one-winders can also be played quietly, since the hum / noise at all settings in comfortable tight limits.

You get a lot of guitar for the money, I can only highly recommend. The sound color range is enormous, but you should not expect miracles. A paula or a tele does not replace them. Would be bad, if one were satisfied with a single Klampfe.

It would have been ...

Uwe aus K., 03.10.2015
Visually, the guitar immediately knocked me down and the first impression was great, but there were a lot of conspicuities. I've been playing the guitar for over 30 years and the name Fretking was a big deal. So I was looking forward to my new guitar.
The sounds are very versatile, as everyone will find their sound. The processing, hm ... The mead screws of the string brothers were simply wrongly mounted, which I had to exchange first. Small inaccuracies in the lacquer (at the socket and the neck) were now for me not so bad. Slightly less, I liked sanding tracks on the headstock, where simple notches are in the wood. What occurred to me later was a not-to-be-grasped buzz of the high E-side, only when it was opened empty. Probably the saddle notch is too deep. In the tuning of the strings I flew 3 times the high E-string around the ears, which tore in the tuning mechanics. Probably there is a sharp ridge, otherwise I can not explain. Also, the protective film of the humbucker, as well as pickguard and tremolo cover plate loosened so fast that I had to remove them already on the second day, since otherwise no reasonable playing would have been possible.
Conclusion: The guitar goes back again.
