This is more consistent than traditional bamboo reeds so I can spend time playing rather than trying to find a good reed. The sound is not quite as mellow as a bamboo reed but at least it plays the same each time.

Meine Erfahrungen mit "Forestone-Blättern"

Um diese Blatt zu beurteilen, muss ich etwas weiter ausholen.Ich blase seit über 60 Jahren Klarinette und Saxophon, nach der Auflösung der Big Band bin ich seit 15 Jahren als Solist und Alleinunterhalter regelmäßig unterwegs. Da ich auch Keyboard spiele, singe und mit dem Publikum "plaudere", bestand mein Problem darin, dass die Klarinette oder das Saxophon manchmal länger nicht benutzt wurden und die Blätter trocken waren, sich verzogen usw und nicht mehr richtig losgingen.
Ich stellte die Mundstücke ins Wasserglas. Alles umständlich.
Ich probierte jahrelang alles was es an Kunststoffblättern gab, war aber nie zufrieden und habe immer wieder Holzblätter geblasen.
Im Februar 2014 erfüllte sich mein "Traum" und seit dieser Zeit blase ich auf beiden Instrumenten nur noch "Forestone" und rührte seit dieser Zeit kein Holzblatt mehr an.
Ich blase auf der Klarinette ein Jody 8, Bahn 1,73, (auch ab und zu Keilwerth 1,45er Bahn, Brilhart 1,50er Bahn) mit einem Forestone F 2,5 filed (amerikanischer Schnitt, schwarze Schachtel) und es hat sich in einem Jahr nichts verändert und ich blase täglich. Es geht am Abend nach 5 Stunden genau noch wie am Anfang. Ich mache das Blatt zu Hause drauf und lasse es sogar einige Tage drauf. (Unter fliesendem Wasser das gesamte Mundstück und Blatt nur säubern) Nach einigen Tagen wird dann alles exakt gereinigt.
Nun zum Test vom Forestone MS (F3,5) Premium Cut, unfiled: (franz. Schnitt)
Mir war es etwas zu schwer, es ist dunkler und der Ton ist nicht so klar wie beim filed.
Da ich mir vor längerer Zeit ein Reed Geek gekauft habe, bearbeitete ich das Blatt und machte es leichter, der Ton ist trotzdem, dunkler und weicher. Ich bleibe beim filed F2,5.
Es ist reine Geschmacksache, aber für eine Big Band oder Blasmusik würde ich auch lieber das filed nehmen, weil es heller und klarer im Ton ist.
Viele schreckt der Preis ab, überlegt Euch aber einmal, was wir in Holzblätter investiert haben und von 10 Blättern findet man manchmal nur 2 richtig gute Blätter.
