OK for the price
psychoccc, 14.04.2020
First of all: the guitar is not exactly the same in the thomann's site pictures.
The headstock logo is different, with "Squier Telecaster" and not "Squier Tele", the neck pickup is screwed up into the pickguard, not in the wood, and most important (I liked the surprise, because I prefer that) the strings are through body, so I have the 6 holes in the back of the guitar. Maybe because it's a 2020 model? I don't know...

Pros:
- price
- neck and frets
- nut well done and placed (but cheap, poor quality)
- setup and action (I only had to adjust a little bit the intonation)
- weight (about 3.5 kg, my Classic Vibe Telecaster with pine body is about 4.150 kg!!!)
- look (I put a matt black pickguard, with the black body is amazing)

Cons:
- first of all: machine heads. You can try if you want, but you can't love them. No way. At first touch you understand they are toys, not serious.
- pickups switch, very hard to engage and cheap quality.

Sound:
I don't put this in the cons, because I know it's very personal.
I wanted a Telecaster lighter than my Classic Vibe and without spend a lot of money.
Well...out of the box and plugged in the amp I realized that you can't compare the two.
The Classic Vibe is an amazing guitar, twangy, full of harmonics, rich sound...I can play it for hours in all positions! :) Then I'll have problems with my back, not with my ears...
The Affinity is darker (expecially the neck pickup) and...I don't know but can't beat the c.v. in any way. But maybe someone could prefer the sound of the Affinity.
So after a week I put a set of Tonerider Hot Classics, good pickups at good price.
The sound has improved a lot, even if it can't reach her sister c.v. anyway.
Next mods: nut and machine heads.

In the end, if you want a good guitar, cheap, and maybe you like mods, screwdriver and change parts, go for the Affinity. It's nice looking and good for the price.
But if you want an almost-professional instrument, ready to sound, amazing pickups just out of the box, maybe a Classic Vibe series is better (but it's about double price, too).

too many things wrong in mechanics and electronics
PE Toulouse, 11.06.2020
Good woodwork, nice looking guitar. With around 150 € for the luthier and perhaps new pickups this guitar will be fine - I thought. I had to adjust the pin contact for the jack - my Boss WL-T wireless dongle did not engage, as the contact was too low. When trying to install new pickups, I had two surprises: the Seymour Duncan Hot Stack bridge pickup is 73 mm long (as per specification) and does not fit through the base plate. I am not sure who is faulty here. The Squier pickup is 71 mm long and fits through the cutout. I had to make the hole longer. The three-way-switch is installed such that if you fit the new pickups according to instruction, the neck pickup is engaged when the switch is on "bridge". I had to solder the wires to other points. Lower strings intonation was about 1/8 tone too high in the 12th fret. The nut is too high for the low strings. Fret buzz on two lowest strings. I would have preferred less wide and lower frets - but this is very personal. For me they feel quite chunky. Pickups are not so bad. I have bought anyway Seymour Duncans.
After all, I would have spent a bit more money for a guitar without the quality problems.

The definition of value for money
Baggles and Butch, 16.04.2021
I was getting back into guitar and didn't want to shell out hundreds of euro in the event I didn't stick with it. I purchased this guitar and fell in love again. I've recorded songs with it in my punk band Baggles and Butch, played live with it and it's a real workhorse.

I love this guitar and no matter how many fantastic Fender tele's I go on to buy, this Fender Squier will always have a place in my arsenal. Easy to play, beautifully smooth neck and great pickups. If you're looking for a great guitar for a great price, THIS is it.

LOVE IT!!

Telecasters where have you been all my guitar life!
Too much G.A.S., 10.04.2018
OK took the plunge and bought this cheapy Squire Affinity Tele. I have many guitars and somehow never thought to get a Tele. Immediately we fell in love. It appears that Leo Fender got the recipe correct way back in 1950. From all reports this particular version of a Tele is pretty accurate to the originals and I am especially enamored with the sound of the middle PUP position.
It's a handsome timeless looking machine and one I am proud to own. The only complaint I have is there are some rough fret ends but I shall fix this easily.
