Great guitar neck, frets may need attention
JSeph 16.11.2023
Honestly these player plus necks are my favourite shape that fender makes, they feel great with the super rolled fretboard edges - I just gel with them really well. Only caveat, while the frets on mine seem fairly level, and the general fit and finish is alright, the fret ends are very much in need of a good polish. The frets themselves are shiny as anything! Frustratingly the ends, while smooth and not sharp, are just a bit coarse by comparison. Still, a great feeling neck. Would also mention that the PF fretboard is very dry out of the box and has some fret dust in the grooves next to the frets, however I plan on cleaning and oiling it anyway as well as staining the fretboard a slightly darker colour so this isn’t much of an issue for me.

Basically, fender quality control being what it is at the moment, expect to have to put some work into these necks if you want them to reach their full potential, but considering you need to at the very least have the nut slots cut anyway, the other issues are easily sorted by a setup.

F
Beautiful neck, but it deserves a proper nut
Fenditaly 02.05.2025
12" my new favourite radius. Great feel with the pau ferro fretboard, but I see loads of 5 stars having the objection that led me to give it four stars instead. While I have no issues with the dryness of the neck, the fact that it was way too tight and I had to loosen it, that the frets are almost all even with a few even-ish, the incredibly low quality of the nut is not acceptable to me. If you take for granted that I will have to replace the nut, just take 10 euro off the neck and sell it without a nut. The slots are all leaning dangerously 1mm towards the 1st string with the 1st string itself being very close to the edge of the neck. Still playable, but this beauty really deserves a better nut.

N
One of the most comfortable necks I’ve ever played
NLop 19.04.2025
It’s hard to overstate how comfortable the neck feels. Superbly finished too.
Although, it's not an install and play. It was quite dusty and dry. Also you need the cut the nut properly.

Ein Fender-Hals ...

... für einen Fender-Korpus. Montiert, passt, hält. Der Sattel muss dann halt noch gefeilt werden. Ist einfach das was es sein soll.
