Very good instrument
Rom2212, 31.08.2020
After playing 6 strings guitars for a few years, I decided to try a 7 strings.
Since patience is not my biggest quality, I chose UPS Express as the delivery method, and 24 hours later, I had the guitar in my hands.

The first thought that came to my mind was "Wow, it looks great", and the reaction of the people in the room during the unboxing was similar.
The see-through black finish looks more greyish with dark green reflects, but it is absolutely magnificent.
The overall quality is outstanding for a guitar that is priced just over 1000€ and crafted in Indonesia. No bad surprises after inspecting it thoroughly.
The fretwork is really good, the fingerboard is great and the inlays are really nice. The flamed maple top is again, really, really nice.
The neck feels great and the finishing on the back doesn't feel slow. The high notes are really accessible and the neck joint is seamless.
Electronics-wise, I took a look at the wiring after removing the plate and everything looks good in there, no burnt cable whatsoever.

The only bad experience I had with the instrument is the strings, as I had to change them straight away because of the condition they were in, so you might want to get a pack when placing an order.
The guitar sounds pretty good even unplugged, which is usually a good sign and well, once plugged in, it's something else. The push-pull tone knob is very interesting and the pickups deliver as expected.
I would have appreciated Sperzel locking tuners rather than LTD ones, but time will tell if these are made to last.

I would definitely recommend this guitar any day for someone who wants a premium instrument at a reasonable price.

All you need in a 7 string.

From the moment you pick the guitar up, you can appreciate its solid build and attention to detail. It's very comfortable to play. Sounds great too - the Pegasus/Sentient set is a great match. Good clarity, character, and note separation. Locking tuners are a breeze to use. The finish is subtle and compliments the dark ebony fretboard very well.

de toute beauté
Antho92, 11.09.2018
