Absolutely useless

I have a Burbank 6* and this mute sticks out of the bell by over an inch, even after I filed the corks to almost nothing. It sounds a bit like a straight mute. Also, the cup is not attached well and comes off the cone when I take the mute out of the trumpet.

The cup broke off the stem fairly soon - I admit partly due to my rough handling. A bit plasticky. But sounds OK, and I guess you can't argue with the price.

Ich bin kein Dämpfer Experte das vorne weg. Ich habe vor dem Kauf die Hörproben bei Thomann studiert und den Ratgeber gelesen.

Der Sound der Hörprobe und meiner Trompete mit Dämpfer sind fast identisch. Mit dem Sound bin ich zufrieden, die Lautstärke ist um die Hälfte reduziert dennoch angenehm hörbar. Genau das wollte ich erreichen. Im Vergleich zu einem Dämpfer aus Metall klingt er etwas dumpf, es "scheppert" nicht so. Plaste hat halt andere Schwingungseigenschaften.

Der Dämpfer hat auch einen festen halt im Trichter. Der Look ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig auf meiner Messing Trompete. Für Anfänger oder die einfach nur leiser spielen möchten genau das richtige. Für den Jazz oder Effekte huscher kommt vielleicht doch eher ein Dämpfer aus Metall in Frage. Auch zum trainieren gut geeignet mit dem Dämpfer braucht man wesentlich mehr Kraft, wenn man dann ohne spielt geht es wie von selbst.

esta sordina apenas entra lo suficiente en la campana de la trompeta, por lo cual produce un sonido bastante nasal. cambiando la posición de los corchos, un poco laborioso, ayudó un poco pero en general es una sordina con un diseño pobre y me extraña muchísimo que ha salido al mercado, por lo visto sin que nadie la probase en la fase de diseño. una opción muchísimo mejor aunque algo endeble sería la Emo Hush-Hush Mute, sordina del mismo fabricante con una copa ajustable.
